In my humble opinion, badassery is an integral component of games... especially in RPGs where you're supposed to identify strongly with the character. Since I'm a badass mostly in my head, I really appreciate it when games make me feel really badass in virtual life (which is an improvement from pure mentally-stimulated fantasy).
Anyway, I got serious badass vibes when my FemHawke Rogue threw the murder knife into somebody's deserving throat, when my mage hawke ripped the ogre which killed my sister apart, when my warrior killed the High Dragon, and at the end, where people either back off in fear of you or KNEEL the hell down. Those instances were cool.
I strongly suggest that Bioware increase the number and magnitude of badass demonstrations in DA3 and any other game they have in development.
Any other instances?
What made you feel really BADASS in DA2?

Killing the Arishok in single combat. Took me forever, almost ran out of potions, but definitely felt i earned my "Champion" title after that

I had zero badass moments in 4 playtroughs of the game :/
or atleast they where not moments worth calling badass.

I felt pretty badass after killing the High Dragon an Hard. Man that fight was an endurance battle.
I feel pretty badass as a sword and board warrior slicing through wave after wave of elite mobs. I think it's the criticals - they have a lot of weight behind them. I actually wish there was even more blood that would cover you afterward. There wasn't nearly enough. After being done with 5 waves of enemies, I wanted the blood to be dripping off Hawke. So much blood he needed to do a screening afterwards. Well you get what I'm saying.

I dunno, I felt like I was a badass when I killed the Rock Wraith, the Arishok, and the high dragon. By the time I was at the end, I felt like I was at the epitome of being a conventional badass. Any higher and I would start getting into the levels of badassery that demigods like Flemeth are at.

You didn't have to say it, it was inevitably going to come in droves anyways.

I also vote rock wraith and high dragon. Relative to most of the fights in DA2, this was far more challenging and a long endurance test as they changed "phases".

The ending cut scene. It was great to watch my Hawkette giving templars the evil eye and they're all like "RUN AWAY!" I lol'd at them as they went. Awesome!

The Arishok. He's like Sam Jackson. Just talking to the dude makes you feel like a badass.

I like the parts when the camera faced my character and I was able to participate in scenes.

Well I'm not about feeling Badass. My equivelent is feeling Dashing and swashbucklery.
So for me, my favorite moment was my Duelist Rogue Hawke telling the Arishok 'Lets Dance.' before the duel. And Cassandra looking flustered in the segment afterwards at how 'romantic' the scene played out. Varric's dialogue being perfect there as he teased her about it..

That was the moment where I felt the story most connected with the character I was playing.

I honestly felt like a badass anytime I used Force Mage abilities in concert.
"Where do you think you're going, mob of mercenaries? Get in that little circle so I can blow you up WITH MY MIND!"

I can think of one great badass moment in the game - can't say it without spoilers. But a tip: in it you are controlling Varric...

I'm not entirely sure what it means to be "badass" but I certainly took pleasure from having one of my mages freeze a pesky assassin and then one-shotting them with assassinate.

Speak for yourself. I had to run around in circles trying to stay alive. I felt like a wimp after that.
