Hey, noticed something! Beside the "Who's back" article, there's a text about "Getting the team back together". What does it say there?

I can get banned for this. Just go look in the other game informer thread in the announcements section. There may or may not be a link in that thread.PnXMarcin1PL wrote...
Could you email them to me (i can send my email in pm)? Rly, I'd like to see this entire article in gameinformer but it's not avaiable in my country at all. I've been trying to search for it too, but internet is full of "cover revealed" thing.
I think they're talking about the ME1 team? Or the overall team. I believe they're just generalizing. I don't think anything else happens to split them up, other than the events that have already been covered in the first 2 games.Wuartz wrote...

why can't they? PS3 players were started in the same fashion. What's to keep them for doing it again? Nothing, FYI they are starting the game based on what happened in Arrival. SPOILER They're aren't any real choices. Its the same outcome no matter what you do.Lumikki wrote...
Bioware can't deside ME3 start based some addional content what not everyone have.Metal-Dragon-Kiryu wrote...

I don't play DLC's, they aren't part of the main game. So, what ever is there is not part of what I have played.
You do realise LotSB and Arrival are both canon even if you don't play them, right?
I suppose it makes it easier for bioware to go that route. Also you should really play the DLCs. They're really high quality.

Well, i'm glad there's at least one new squadmate. I don't like the idea of only old squadmates and I also don't like the idea of a complete overhaul. I just hope there's 2 or 3 new ones to use.
Me too. There are plenty of squadmates from ME and ME2 to choose from. 2 or 3 new ones is a nice balance.
Wonder if Jack will be back. She ended up being less popular than I had thought going into ME2.

The same way millions of people bought and played ME2 without playing the first game. Same goes for the millions who will buy ME3 without ever having played the first two.....Lumikki wrote...

And now I assume your trolling since GameInformer already said that arrival sets the start of ME3. You are trolling I will ignore any further comments from you.
How can they start ME3 based DLC, when there is huge amount of people who have no clue what happen there.

Doesn't matter if you've played it or not. Its one of the few things set in stone. In other words canon.Lumikki wrote...
Point was ME2 start made sense, even if I did not know why I'm there, I was there doing my job. Same way ME3 start has to make sense to everyone with DLC or without it.AlbertoAquilani wrote...
It's irrelevant, ME 3's beginning is canon. You don't need to have played the DLC's to know what's going on. In the beginning of Mass Effect 2, did you know why you were in that specific star system when you got shot down? But it's gonna be really bad if they gonna explain somehting what Shepard has never done. Remember not all have done those DLC's.Jayman1337 wrote...
They will have a clue because it will be explained during the trial. It will be revisited so they'll figure out what went on.

People should not make assumptions that people have played some addional content. (DLC). Point is if those DLC explain something between ME2 and ME3, that's great. But start of ME3 should not leave people cold, who haven't played those DLC's. Meaning it has to make sense too for them too.
Besides, people who choose to not buy the DLC are voluntarily limiting their experience. No need to hamstring those who go all out because of them. You buy less, you get less.

I don't know about Mordin, but I know Legion will have a large role seeing as your gathering forces to fight the Reapers and the Geth, if you saved Legion in ME2, will play a large part in that fight.Warlocomotf wrote...
I'm hoping the role of Legion and Mordin will not be too minor- sure they didn't make much of an LI- but they were so very interesting on a moral/rational level. Mordin's loyalty mission is one of my favourite missions in the game for this reason

I'm not sure the 2 weapon max is set in stone. I think that fan speculation. The official hasn't been given out unless I'm mistaken.kregano wrote...
So... does the 2 weapon maximum apply to heavy weapons? That would make me less inclined to play Sentinel, Adept, and Engineer honestly. I'm a big fan of tactical flexibility.

The best news for me personally from the Game Informer thing is the fact there is NO MULTIPLAYER. That made my whole year and it is great to see that Bioware are committed to the single player experience.
THIS!!! Now I can wait patiently for the Collector's edition and preorder.
Ash - Glad she finally let her hair down.

I'd like to know especially since we already spent an entire game building a team, regardless of how many return I don't want to devote any time of a game where I'm supposed to be rallying the races to save the universe on going and recollecting squadmates. Why can't they ever come to me!?

Our goal is to make sure that when you start playing ME3, you are brought into the story line in a way that the game will "make sense" - regardless of having played the DLCs or even ME1 or 2. Heck, even players of the past games may need a refresher depending on how long it will have been since they last played. We're looking into creative ways to do this. And no, that doesn't mean "it doesn't matter if you played the first two games or not" - there's no desire to invalidate loyalty to the series

well..

kidding.. i'm not saying she should be a romance option. i'm just saying that young companions are always a nice addition to your party (mission from KOTOR).
