After hearing all those who defended Dragon Age 2, saying that Bioware's fanbase was unpleasable, here I sit, watching the fan base rejoice at the news of returning RPG elements.

Don't look so unpleasable from where I'm sitting.

As for myself, I'm loving everything I'm hearing so far. This is sounding more like what I hoped Mass Effect 2 would be in the first place.
Still, I'll remain wary after Dragon Age 2. But I'm optimistic.

I'm glad I found those HQ scans cause I'd be pretty annoyed waiting til April 28th. That being said I stayed up last night reading all 12 pages and I'm excited for this game than I have been in a long time. I was fortunate enough to get ME1 before I even knew there would be a 2. I literally found about it when I was almost done with ME1. Then about a month or so later ME2 came out and I was blown away all over again. ME3 can't get here fast enough for me. Even with out the vehicle exploration I hope that the environments are huge and always us to explore. Citadel, Illium and Omega need to be bigger and more expansive. I swear I can't wait for this game...

The big question is why Cerberus having invested billions into bringing Shepard back to life and the illusive man himself dubbing him 'humanity's last hope' only to then turn around and try to kill him, honestly what kind of business model is that. You don't see Apple building their flashy iPads only to throw them of a 20 storey building.
My only conclusion is that the reapers have something to do with it, indoctrination?? how I do not know.
Guess we will have to wait until the game is released to find the real reason.

ME: Evolution  gave me an hint about TIM  and the his possible indoctrination(I only read the last preview though and the info on ME wiki).

i believe tim wants to eliminate shepard regardless what path you completed me2....... he used shepard as a pawn to get intel on collectors and the suicide mission. tim could be done with shepard and be like the mob and say time to dispose of him for good. shepard believes humanity can work with aliens wile cerbrus and tim  dont like aliens

People keep saying that multiplayer was ruled out definitively.

I read the quote, and Hudson explicitly said "we have nothing to announce at this time." Given his preceding comments, it's quite clear they're trying to incorporate it in some manner.

So why are people going around claiming that multiplayer has been axed?

ME: Evolution may give a hint to TIM's thinking, that was most certainly a reaper artefact and a Turian husk seen in the preview, it may also drop a slight hint to TIM cybernetic eyes.
the plot line of evolution seems far more interesting now.
Although I doubt BW will make the reason obvious.

The real reason for the betrayal by Cerberus and The Illusive Man is being closely guarded, according to the GI. Apparently they don't plan on leaking this information at all prior to release (fat chance, I know). It could be that Cerberus' motivations are initially mysterious and figuring out why they are trying to kill shep is a crucial plot point. I personally like the idea of TIM deciding that the Reapers are right, not because of Indoctrination, but because he comes to understand why it is that they perpetuate this cycle and agrees with it. Another possibility is that TIM comes to believe that Shep is actually a danger to the Galaxy, that something about Shepherd or the Prothean vision (or the Lazarus technology) could aid the Reapers in some way.

Anyone who has the digital subscription want to tell me whether they've gotten theirs yet? I subscribed last Friday specifically for this issue, but so far the only one I've gotten has been the April issue that I absolutely don't care about.

As for the gathering allies part... I think a lot of people here called that a long time ago, but I'm intrigued that it apparently won't always be as simple as just doing a quest.

I got just got mine today
