Love the cover, but I hate how its just Shepard, was hoping they'd give us some squadmate clues. I wonder what will be revealed inside on that subject.

I'm excited to see the carbon fiber-style pattern gone from the armor. Maybe it's strange, but that's always what bugged me most about the armor in ME2.

... am I the only one not interested in this?  Had way too many spoilers prior to ME2, and manShep was shoved so far down my throat I couldn't play for 6 months. 

Mass Effect has been my favorite game series since it came out.  I've replayed the first one 25+ times, and I've only had exactly ONE Shepard, and she is female. 
It always seems as though Bioware wants to destroy my experince, well this time I've come prepared.  I know my enemy and his tricks.

Why does everyone assume that it's a assault rifle on his back?
It look way more like an unpacked Sniper from ME1.
Combining that with the pistol and the lack of other weapons and the not-as-heavy-as-ME2 armor and I can only assume that it's an infiltrator Shep.

But I may be wrong.

I'm glad they stuck with Sheploo for all their ads. Consistency. Besides, don't 80% of players play as male right? I remember reading that somewhere. Regardless, don't give in to nerd-rage demands. If you don't want to see Sheploo in the ads, DON'T WATCH OR READ any ME media. Simple.

His face also looks different. He is significantly uglier than the in game default shep. So I wouldn't anaylze this art too much. I don't know why they don't just use his in game model. Whoever does the art feels the need to recreate the Sheploo image. I don't like saying it but they fall a little short. It's the same with the ME2 cover. It's bugged me for a while.

I don't think that pistol is going to get Shepard very far with the Reapers.

not unless your a infiltraitor class, with all the pistol upgrades from all the dlcs.. and full paragon then  i can see it giving him a edge if not, then youre just facking your self over  and add tung bullets  i know my shepard  killed any thing in the game  with 1 shot. on insanity

 i can just imagine the game  from my ending of arrival

my shepard told off hacket saying wait i just saved the galaxy and you want to put me on trial for saving you guys...

  now if i carry over to me3 i going to laugh if hackett asks me to save earth  and i am able to say:  umm no, i am not apart of the alliance or cerebus any more save yourselves, unless you want me to rescue you butts again youre going to need  forget everything that happend to these four eyes.

I actually just opened that May cover revealed page and clicked on ME3 link on the very bottom of it along with some other games.

Maybe it's the perspective or something, but on the cover there's a huge indent in Africa right where Nigeria should be. Right underneath the Gameinformer website address.
