Why do I get the feeling also that all those fans who have been shouting for the VS (and before that Liara AND the VS) are going to be incredibly pleased with ME3. Which is what a lot of people were saying would be the case all along heh. Patience is a virtue I guess?

Oh and GARRRUUUUUUSSS! Too badass to play a major role in only two games.

On that Garrus related note I think I should look for a new Garrusbanner. Seems I most likely got my wish. ;D

in the book there was a guy named paul grayson ( no joke), he died from being shot do to being turned into half man half machine because cerbrus implanted reaper tech into him.

Could be more to it than is obvious at the moment. The demo they played might have been working off an import which destroyed the base for example, I can't remember if you can continue working for them after that but it wouldn't be a stretch to imagine things went downhill from there anyway.

As someone who saved the base on their first playthrough I too hope it isn't a simple case of 'We no like you no more Mr Hero". I doubt it will be, they made such a big deal about Shepard being important to humanity whether they liked him or not that it would seem crazy to have them want him dead during the freaking invasion without a really good reason.

The only thing I can think of otherwise is that BioWare needed to make Cerberus a full on villain for ME3 for plot reasons or something.

It makes sense why they'd want paragon Shepard dead; s/he blew up extremely valuable tech, told the Illusive man to shove it, and ran off with their 4 billion+ credit ship. No idea why they'd want renegade Shepard dead though, other than the fact that s/he is a douchebag (although in most games that's reason enough to kill someone).

Edit: Or TIM's body reacted to the prescence of Reapers and has become indoctrinated. Would be quite ironic really, one of humanity's greatest defenders being forced to wipe out his kind.

Even if you do blow it up, considering TIM's most important goal is stopping the Reapers, i cant imagine him pouring all his resources into killing the one person who is able to stop it DURING THE ACTUAL INVASION. Would completely contradict his ME2 view. Thats not to say he shouldnt be furious if you blow up the reaper ship, but he seemed just fine with all my other paragon decisions that could have benefited Cerberus.

Maybe it's the fringe Cerebus element? Its quite clear TIM doesnt have complete oversight judging by Jack's loyalty mission.

Honestly I wouldn't be shocked if Cerberus ends up indoctrinated, what with their casual observance of experimental safety protocols.

But yeah, of all the news in GI that's the only part that has me going, "Huh?" I can sort of see it for Paragons, but even then The Illusive Man doesn't seem like the type to kill purely out of spite. He'd kill Shepard after the Reapers are defeated as he represents a security risk and if he's Paragon, also a very real enemy. But would he risk the future of humanity to remove that comparatively minor threat? I wouldn't say so.

Seen a fair few people unhappy that Legion was on the list of uncertainties with Mordin and Anderson etc. I expect this is just a case of BioWare playing their cards close to their chest in regards to his role in the game, unless they are worried too few people had him alive at the end of ME2. Doesn't he have backups stored in Geth space though? Couldn't he just return in a different fashion if he was lost during the events of the previous game?

I hope he is in anyway. Biggest surprise for me is definitely the lack of Tali confirmation, what with her infamous popularity. I'm guessing she is tied up in a key plot point regarding the flotilla's involvement or something equally spoilery.
