Ash's new look is good now she actually looks pretty along with her nice persona because be for she looked like a lesbian im very happy with the new look and i know most people are and i hope she does wear that in battle it looks good you can se by the sleeve that it has some armor on it. so she's still a solder i mean that granny hair do was not doing it for me plus her whole personality rested purely on her attitude not her looks she can still be a badass. and all of the other girls were hideous except miranda maybe now their will be some competition for her.Arikarain wrote...
Is it just me or is ashley the new miranda in the looks department
good job on the new design bioware
plus can any one say (miranda+ash= threesome)

I really dig her 'plain' look in ME1. At least from that one little screenshot, she looks like she's packing the mascara. I can't really see Ash doing that while fighting for the galaxy. Maybe on an off day or something, but ME3 is probably going to be short on those...

Finally got my Game Informer! Boy was I psyched to read it... I'm pretty tired now so I'll gather my thoughts and post everything tomorrow, but I'll just jump into the latest discussion and say that I'm not too sure about Ash's new look. I honestly thought at first glance it was supposed to be Miranda. She looks nice but I kind of liked how "plain-ish" she looked in the first game: it was nice having a human female character (from any game really) that wasn't entirely amazing looking.
I think everyone tries to look their best when they are in Court.
If that's her outfit for combat....well....then I have nothing to say really.
But somehow I doubt it is. Fans got an armored look for Miranda because people disliked the skin tight suits as viable comabt gear mentality of her Cerberus get up in ME2. So, I'm inclined to believe they know better. Also, the phonix armor is so associated with Ashley at this point, it makes very little sense for that to change. (Same as the N7 armor for Shep and that Garrus belongs in Blue)

I tend to think that the "Ashley is channeling Miranda" vibe is in large part due to the fact that her hair is down. I do understand why that particular look on her comes across as so strange and maybe off-putting to some, because it makes her look more feminine than her usual tough, no-nonsense up-do. The same thing happens to me when I wear my hair down, which is almost never (and I've got about uh...three feet of it? Four?) - I think I look really weird.
But I'm still me, and Ashley is still Ashley. I always kind of thought she looked like she was packing the mascara, but that's just me. Maybe I need to take a second look back at her ME1 design.

As long as Ashley's alternative scheme is the ME1 colossus one (or, gasp, camo) and I can unlock it immediately/fast, I will accept Phoenix as default.oceanicsurvivor wrote...

He does kind of look like a jerk. But don't you want to give him your own look ? I don't know why people play rpgs and then use the default look. Anyway I vastly prefer male shepard. Femshep annoys the crap out of me.FearMonkey wrote...

I encourage everyone to have two saves, one as male and one as female. You'll see the difference real quick.
My first playthrough is always as a custom FemShep (Paragon) and then I play through again as default MaleShep, usually as Renegade. He looks like a jerk, so I might as well play him as a jerk.
Femshep isn't bad to play as but that voice acting is terrible. Just because she is a commander in an army doesn't mean she has to have a dude voice.

Because the face editor sucks, perhaps?
Because the custom Sheps in the games mouths and facial structures don't move the way they should.

With Earth looking like that, and the line in the trailer about Shepard getting there soon or "there won't be an Earth left to save," I'm thinking that there will be some sort of time limit in ME3 of when to launch the assault to save Earth, or at least heavy consequences if you wait to build up the assault. It could work like Fallout where you have a time limit to find the water chip or stop the super mutants.
NO TIMED MISSIONS. TIMED MISSIONS ARE THE DUMBEST THINGS EVER CREATED. WE ARE IN LIKE THE 7TH GENERATION OF CONSOLES, WE SHOULD BE MOVING AWAY FROM COMMADORE AND NES TIME LIMIT GAME CONSTRAINTS

Yeah, no timed missions, I hate them with the fiery intensity of a million Haestrom suns.
Haestrom was fun, the Archangel mission sucked. they shove you into battle with little ammo, Garrus has health, there are multiple bosses AND you fight ALL the merc groups, which requires a lot of technique changing and the impossible squad changing, and top it all off, its like the first real mission in the game, so you have ****ty weapons, no upgrades and a small amount of week powers. DONT DO THIS MISSION FIRST, DO THE REST! btw I'm talking about the insanity difficulty, as a soldier.
