Well at least this Q&A confirms one thing that has been speculated on these forums for a while. That the human reaper was actaully meant to be the internal core and that the cuttlefish design is the shell built around it.
Makes you wonder if we're going to see what the other reapers look like under thier shells in ME 3.

let the speculations begin...
the obvious TIM location would be in front of some sort of sun. but that won't be much of a hint would it?
now I'm going to say something a little off, and probably wrong, but if you look closely at the star behind TIM it seems as though some locations are brighter, and (in my opinion) if you look at these brighter locations as continents than the star seems a lot like Earth. I know its stupid but I can swear the "continent" at the bottom right looks like Africa. I am probably wrong. really wrong.
another thing to think about is the colors of the star. they usually are a combination of red green blue and black. why? just for the looks? maybe not. another thing is that the star can become completely blue if you destroy the collector base. is this also something to consider? I doubt it.

Hey! If ended up being all nerdy and read the book Mass Effect:Retribution, and aparently that says that TIM is on a space station that is on the move, changing location at all times, most cerburus operatives never know where it is, untill they are told(at which point after the meeting he moves it again).
Its not a bad book if you are interrested.

Hey guys!
Ive got a random question but who the hell drives the drop shuttle on Mass effect 2? Is it a VI or a person that Sheperd just doesnt like talking to because he has bad B.O or something.....Its question has been bothering me the last 2 years!
Well, I mean it could be just one of the guys sitting around on the crew deck... it just never comes up in conversation.
There's also the armored Cerberus guy who stands next to Legion when you first go check up on him... But not having done a 1:1 comparison of his face to all the known crew members, I can't say if it was just somebody who geared up for the occasion.
Oh yeah the random security guy looking after Legion, WHO THE HELL WAS THAT GUY!
He wasn't on the ship before. When I first saw him i expected him to say
''Oh hey I'm Jeff, I just transfered here last Tuesday and I really hope this works out....Everybody has been soooooooooo nice
One technical thing i liked about the Normandy SR2 that there appeared to be enough beds for the entire crew( i was such a nerd I counted)
One more weird question about the Normandy, what are those wierd pods leading up to the gunnary control room? Escape pods?

Cryo pods, are they not?
Um, someone above said they hoped that there is more information on the reapers' origins (though they seem pretty straightforward to me), but being a MASSIVE reaper fan, I thik it would detract from their menace if we found out all about their high school days, or whatever (forgive the metaphor). Also, again it seemed like walters was stating the obvious but, I'm happy that the human-reaper larvae just the 'core' of the construction (if the scale didn't give it away, seeing the rest of the fleet should have)... they are going exactly where I wanted them to with the nature of the reproductive process.. the way the composite race shapes the reaper gives each individual personality, whilst remaining iconically 'reaper' - "we are each a nation"... damn, reapers (and quasi-protheans), hell the whole mass effect mythos... best in video gaming history. maybe just history, full stop

I saw "Q&A" so I clicked on it as fast as I could. And when I started reading, I was like WTF is this crap?
And closed the window.
Hopefully tomorrow's update is better. It says check back 4/22/2011 so I'm assuming there will be an update.

Cryo pods, are they not?
For going into stasis? Would they really need them?

They're for sleeping in. They're also on the SR-1 and in ME1 you get a codex entry about it when you examine them.

I thought that (though they are always unoccupied) but I figured that if the ship lost functionality, lost in space or whatever, they would be a safety net (like ilos).. pretty sure they are the same as in the first game (which were labeled as sleeping/cryo pods). maybe if they were travelling vast areas of unexplored space? another way they would need them would be if their FTL drive failed and they had to manual travel (though that's effectively derelict if they weren't really close). hell. they could just be an (uncomfortable) alternative to beds...

ah yes, i thought I had read so somewhere... makes sense it would be in the conspicuously named 'galactic codex'... I really wish i had bought the limited edition of ME1 with written codex (saw it new for like a tenner back before ME2 came out... damn me, i only didn't buy it because metal tins look odd in my collection... more fool me, its like 50-100 quid now
