I feel like an abused spouse. They constantly disappoint me with the lackluster updates only to promise me another potentially epic update in a day or two. And I fall for it every ****ing time!

Watching the interview with Casey Hudson has given me an even greater respect for both his ability as a project lead and his understanding of what makes a game great. The things he mentioned regarding the planning of a trilogy were especially critical, because that level of awareness seems to be very uncommon these days. And though I agree with others who are sad to hear his admission that something as grand in scale as the carry-over story of Mass Effect is not likely to happen again, I can only imagine what Casey and the other creators of the game feel knowing it might be a one shot deal. Once you accomplish certain challenges it is sometimes difficult to look at any other, lesser seeming, achievement as a qualified and fulfilling success.

Here's to hoping that his next project, and those of all of the rest of the Mass Effect team, bring them a similar level of satisfaction and challenge.

What is the deal with those figures anyways?   They seem to keep getting pushed back again and again and again.
