Tali will definitely be involved, they are just being coy. and i should imagine they will continue to be so until release. Weren't they really hush about the whole *SPOILERS* Archangel/Garrus-ness llol, yes?

This is my thought as well - they didn't reveal Tali was coming back in ME2 until later on either (all the pre-media for that game focused on Miranda, Jack, Grunt, and Thane) and considering that BW set a bit of a standard by having both Garrus and Tali as squadmates for both the first and second game, it would be incredibly unusual for them to bring back Garrus but not Tali (especially if they're planning a sort of "squad reunion" for ME3).

Another thing to possibly consider regarding the availability of certain characters in your Squad is that BW has stated numerious times that cheating on a love interest from ME1 with a squadmate from ME2 would/could have serious reprecusions for the third game: now, I don't know about you... but if you had Shepard romanced Ashley in ME1, only to have her rejoin you in ME3 and she now has to share a squad with either Tali or Miranda who you had romanced in ME2...
I really can't imagine that'd be any kind of pleasure cruise through the stars.

I am glad we get to kick the Illusive Man's ass in ME3. Also glad Garrus is still there (ME without Garrus is not Mass Effect) and Wrex will show up.

But I am hugely disappointed by the non-confirmation (at least for now) of Miranda, whether it is an appearance or as teammate. Considering Ashley will likely be on the team, I'd say Miranda being there too is unlikely.

Cerberus suddenly gunning for Shepard, regardless of Shepard's activities in ME2, is pretty stupid if that's the case. All those resources spent to bring Shepard back, only to then devote even more resources to kill him/her again? That's the only real WTF moment for me in the news I'm hearing from the Game Informer article. SO happy that we'll be seeing Ashley/Kaidan and Liara again! Woohoo! And James Sanders is a welcome addition, I don't care WHO he is. He's a human! Yay!

I am concerned that I haven't heard anything about the return of Miranda, Jack, Jacob and Samara. But I'm pleased that I haven't heard ANYTHING about Tali, though I know the Talimancers are wringing their hands like crazy right about now.

I so wish Samara was a returning squadmate.

Yeah, I thought ME2's purpose was to build your own personal army/assault squad of badasses so you wouldn't need to in ME3 and therefore Shep can focus on recruting entire species to the fight against the Reapers.

Yeah, I thought ME2's purpose was to build your own personal army/assault squad of badasses so you wouldn't need to in ME3 and therefore Shep can focus on recruting entire species to the fight against the Reapers.

Maybe Shep is just gathering allies, which sounds a lot like DA. But if we have to recruit a new team for the third time, that would be a big mistake imo.

So what, VS and Liara help you escape from the trial you get back on the Normandy and BAM there's your whole team all "welcome back commander"? FUND IT!

Maybe in the meantime that shepard was held on trial the entire squad was ordered to prepare their races for the upcoming war. Shepard has to get them back together again and build alliances with the races they represent.

Appart from Tali, Legion, and maybe Samara none of the ME2 squadmates would really have the political pull to do that though.
