So far I only had 1.5 playthroughs, so I might change my opinion in the future. Right now Anders and Fenris are far too whiny in my book and I dislike their constant  agenda.
Sebastian worked much better for me, because I never got the feeling that he is intolerant.
Varric I simply love  and everybody else I like.

Observation - it seems very few like the new Anders. Personally, I couldn't stand DAA Anders (he served no purpose but to provide comedic relief; his only redeeming quality being his strong desire for mage freedom). Plus, you have to consider what Anders has been through after Awakening - he technically is no longer the same person anymore. Without getting into spoiler territory, he has recently undergone a severely traumatic experience.

What -Skorpious- says is true, but Anders is completely changed - he's not even close to what he was. Bethany's my favorite character, too bad Carver isn't half that...

I can't really say if Sebastian is a good character or not - as I don't have the DLC... but from what I have seen/heard about he looks boring.

I think the trouble is a lot of people really liked Anders in DA:A. If they wanted an emo whining oppressed mage who likes to start wars and has lost all sense of mental stability, they should have just created a new character, rather than twisting a great character into a demeted shadow of his former self.
