...please, please work on the armor/costume designs for DA3! I absolutely adore all three sets of the Champion Armor, as well as a fair amount of rogue outfits for F!Hawke (the ones that are more form-fitting; like the outfit you start out with if you worked your year off with Athenril). I also love the Chantry robes, and the detail in Sebastian's armor.

If any future game takes place in Orlais, then I hope the designers look at stuff by Alexander McQueen for his lavish outfits, Badgley Mischka for their wonderfully opulent dresses, and maybe some of Balmain's (women's collection) hard-edged designs could be turned into armor. I am a bit of a fashion junkie, and the costume design (if that is the right term) was one of my favorite improvements for the game.

I remember playing DAO, and saving up a ton of money to buy The Felon's Coat. I totally pictured it would look like this incredibly sleek black armor, and when I put it on...it looked exactly like the Provocateur armor I was already wearing. :crying: I was so sad.

Or not, it looks spikey and silly, I'm not a fan.

However, I will agree that more armor graphics in general would be nice (and having special armors look special is also nice) but having a SINGLE set of end-game armor is just lame.

Yeah, & hey, could we also ask them to take a gander at armor smithing books too? Cause I hate the over the top anime armor I'm forced to wear i.e. the Champion Armor.

The flashy over-the-top action and anime style are some of my biggest complaints with the game.

It's just...silly like I said earlier.   The armor in Origins was kinda over-the-top, too, but it wasn't spikes and sharpness everywhere.

Seriously, Hawke doesn't need claw-gloves.

I think the detailing on the rogue armor is great. I am not a fan of anime, and I didn't get that impression from the armor at all. I do wish we could have gotten the Champion Armor earlier...I always head straight for the Bone Pit in Act 3 so I can at least have the main piece on for the majority of the last act.

Love the champion armor except the helmet. The Warrior helmet is just weird.

Not a fan of the rogue Champion armor. But the Mage/Warrior ones are nice.

However the person who designed the truly excellent 'Vain' armor (aka the Ensalin/pirate suit) needs to be in charge of the Orlais wardrobes.

Too spiky, unrealistic, and wtf is up with that dribble shelf? If it's supposed to be a gorget or other form of neck protection, it utterly and completely fails.

I like that the mage outfit wasn't a robe (though I didn't like that the helmet wasn't a helmet and didn't match the outfit), and that it was a bit more along the lines of 'armor'. I didn't like (what it seems are) the anime/ultra-fantasy details in any of the 3 class armors - I prefer more realistic and/or classic armor.

I like that they decided to make detailed armors... I just so happen to not really like most of the details.

I hate the boots of the rogue champion armor. A rogue should, in my opinion, wear boots designed for running and sneaking.

So you like dressing as a Space Ork? You should check out Warhammer 40K.

Ignore everyone bashing the armor. I loved it too.
It was absolutely awesome.

Champion armor looks NEAT! But, this is DA2 so we must bash it because we got taste now and we're no longer taking this anymore even though we glorify all the old games that had comparable armor. DA2 = Red Headed Step Child so we must beat it every chance we get because because.

The design was allright, but I really disliked that weird neck guard, placed on the chest. Does iteven serve any purpose?:D

Haha, feed like a farm animal, love that :P

The neckguard is kinda silly, and it's messing up nearly everyone's DA2 warrior profile pic.

Yeah, just look at the realistic armor designs in Baldur's Gate! My favourite. Imho BioWare should just return to the old ways!

I agree! Want to see more of this bad-ass style of armors - The Mage champion armor in particular is a winner! Also more stuff like Ser Isaac's armor which in my opinion is the most awesome set I've ever seen in Dragon Age!

Do a bit of research on medieval armor and you will find a similar "feeding trough" in some armors. It seems to have been made like that to protect the warrior's neck yet giving them space for movement. The Champion armor design is probably derived from that.
Take that piece of metal out and it will just look boring. It gives it a certain edge. IMO.

I think the 'feeding trough' looks good, and gives you the feel that the armor has a purpose, other than to doll up your PC.

i absolutely love mage/warrior champ armors ( best in game as it should be)...and i absolutely hate rogue one ...the rogue one should 've been made in the style of assasin's creed or the witch hunter of warhammer (without the hat ofc )

Of the three armors the rogue's was the weakest. Didn't truly match the style of the other two, too many belts for nothing, the hood is weird... I like it but it's not the best. The mage and warrior armors are fine. You may like the design or not but like the rogue one, at least they are different from any other armor in the game (blood armor not counted). It's not just some recoloration.

The best looking armour is the "Ferelden Field Armour" warrior Hawke starts out with - looks both stylish and practical.
