- Voiced Character ( positive ) - I really enjoyed having Hawke have a voice. I at first had reservations about it before the game released, but I found BioWare had put my doubts to rest and delivered. It really improves immersion and adds depth and personality to the characters we make.
- Combat System ( positive ) - The combat system in DA:2 is really a major improvement over the original. It makes you feel more active in the battles and more realistic as well. Instead of slowly approaching my enemies, I charge head on and kick ass. There are a few issues that could be smoothed out in the combat system, but overall good job and keep heading in that direction!
- Story ( positive ) - I was expecting 1 man vs the epic struggle, I wasnt expecting to have so many moral choices I had to consider when playing the game. From the Qunari to the Mages and Templars, I was always going back and forth on who I supported. It was a tough choice who I had to choose and in the end I still didnt feel right about my choice, but moral choices like that are never easy and sometimes no matter what you pick you wont be right.
- Companions ( positive ) - Companions in this game were great. Same as the last game. I really enjoyed the party banter and the different sets of dialogue you can receiver depending on who is in your group. It is really and interesting system and theres always new dialogue out there for me, Im really impressed. I totally missed most of the extra dialogue the first playthrough depending on if you are a rival or friend - its always changing, I love it.
- Minor plot holes / Inaccurate player history ( Negative ) - This isnt really a true negative but there are some parts that could be considered by the players as bugs or incosistancies. For example - Nethanial and the Architect, I had killed the Architect but Nethanial said the "Warden Commander" had spared him. On my Origins playthrough I did not. Other inconsistancies include ( if you let Leliana die and she comes back. Anders and his timeline ) I have no real problem with these...I understand the concerns of players but sometimes the writes need to edit or change something for the overall good of the story.
- Enemie Waves ( Negative ) - The one thing I did not enjoy about this game was being teased with the end of the battle to only be stopped by yet another wave of spiders. Please I beg you not to do this again, I understand it may be a way to reduce the demand on the consoles or computers during fights to reduce any sort of lag. But personally I would rather have all my enemies on screen at one time instead of more jumping in from 3 stories buildings.
- Flemeth ( Negative ) - My opinion but personally I dont like Flemeth. The mysterious and powerful mastermind scheming behind the scenes really doesnt appeal to me. I cant really put Flemeth in a place, is she a God?Demon?Crazy old bat? I dont like her.
Overall Im very satisfied with the game, I liked the ideas behind Dragon Age 2. BioWare has a lot of material to work with to base DA:3 around or any DLC. Thx for putting up with the community and actively participating in forum discussion BioWare, not many game developers do that...we appreciate it!
- Good game as usual from BioWare ( keep it up! )
Thanks for Dragon Age 2: Keep it up!
