It works for me:

That's with a new appearance id of 90 and a new head table id of 100000, but you should be able to use higher numbers.

You can download my files here.

Unzip then put the GDA files in your packages override.

Edit your appearance in a saved game to 90.

Thanks! And, just wondering, what is that awesome place you're at in the picture?

Also, with the files in the override folder, making a new character does not work for some reason. In the character generator, your character is blank and you can't change appearance or anything. When you get in the game, your character is bald and stuff. If I remove the stuff from the override folder, it's fixed. I guess it isn't a big problem at all, because I don't make much new characters and if I do want to make a new character, I can just remove them for a second. Is there a way around this?

You're welcome.

The screenshot is from the standalone adventure Crown of Creation, which hasn't been released yet.

It looks better than that now - I used an old save in case I messed up.

This fix is a dirty hack, so I'm not surprised character generation doesn't work.

To do it properly, you'd make an add-in, with a more sophisticated approach to scripting and M2DA extension.

Would making it an add-in require a lot of work?

No, but there would be a learning curve - see wiki.

If you're limited for time, read up on how to extend M2DA tables without overwriting them - I suspect that's what's causing the character generation issue.

Ideally, it should be an add-in, so that you can enable/disable it on the DLC screen, and avoid conflict with other mods.

You could carry on editing saved games, or write a script to change the appearance after character generation.

If you're a perfectionist, there are many other issues to think about, like what happens after the player changes appearance in the Fade, whether they have the option to revert to their original appearance, how come no one notices they're Darkspawn... which starts to become hard work.

Oh, and watch out for low cielings...
