That's a good question, actually. What did Daddy Hawke actually do for a living?

Thus far the only apostates we've seen have somehow made a living out of always being on the run, or live deep in a swamp where money is kind of pointless.

It's even more awkward when you consider that Leandra also says Hawke is like his father, too.

It is reasonable for Hawke to looks like his father. As a custom made character most Hawke's don't look like rest of the family most of the time. So he must resemble his father.
Tho' there were some strange Hawke's of mine. Like Bethany and Mom had brown eyes, Carver had his killer baby blues and my hawke had green/grey eyes. I wonder which one had the green/grey eyes, postman or milkman?

Allow me to be srs cat here and point out that green eyes the least common eyecolor and are likely a recessive gene. So Mama Hawke and Daddy Hawke could both have been carrying those in the background. 

That is odd, though - in the game I'm playing right now my Hawke has dark grey eyes and Leandra's got 'em too. Didn't catch what Carver had, I was too busy trying to ignore his face for the five minutes he's alive.

Thanks for biological info (which I've already know). I love to learn/share those tiny bit of knowledge here and there. I was just goofing.

On my most runs Leandra usually has grey eyes (if I use light brown/green or grey eyes). I guess Gamlen also shares Leandra's eyes iirc.

The thing about Daddy Hawke that everyone seems to overlook is that his full name is Malcom McDowell Hawke. That should say enough about what type of person he was.

I just recently started a new game where I gave Hawke the golden-y brown eyes and her ENTIRE family ended up with those eyes. Leandra, Bethany, Carver, I'm pretty sure Gamlen has them, too. I think Leandra had the same eyes as my Hawke in the last playthrough, too.

There's probably some really weird, complex coding going on to figure out the eye color stuff....or it's totally random. Either/or.

I like to think he doted on me even after the twins were born, but told me how important it was to look after them. Since I don't particularly care for Hawke's mother, I picture her as a bit of a Daddy's girl. Who she's going to side with notwithstanding.

I told Leandra in no uncertain terms that no one was going to take father's place when she started to talk about seeing people.
