Apparently a summary was leaked of the ME3 game informer article, I'm not gonna post any names or get real specific.. basically only some of the ME2 squad members were even mentioned, and none of them were actually confirmed as coming back as part of your team... so was the entire 30+ hours I and many others spent on ME2 a waste? I mean besides destroying the collector base the entire point was building my team.

Why even spend all that time developing the characters if you're just going to shove them into the background?

Seriously I gotta know, were all the choices I made useless?

This thread isn't credible because you didn't actually read the article.

And it's a first look at a game nine months from release, and there will be more releases as time goes on.

And Garrus. Garrus will be back. Everyone's favorite Brohan.

Just chill my son, these things always come in waves.

Well the guy that posted the summary posted a picture of one of the pages so I'm pretty damn sure everything he wrote was correct.

Yeah, Garrus is awesome, glad he's coming back as a squad member.

When has there ever been a Bioware game where all the companions were revealed all at once?

Never, but still, all of ME2 was about those companions, why hide them returning or not until months later?

You should really be using the same thread and just because there wasn't info about your ME2 squad coming back as squadmates doesn't mean they won't. The amount of info out is pretty small.

Because as exciting as all this news is, revealing it all at once is silly if you want to keep people's intrests?

How do you know they're not going to appear? in any case certainly you didn't expect 12 characters to remain 12 selectable squadmates through to ME3, Certainly if all of them had the potential of dying..?

Simple marketing. You release little bits at a time to keep the hype going. Bioware COULD come out and say "Here's everything we're doing, and isn't it neat, and it's fifty pages of pure information"...

...

And then nine months go by, and the hype dies down, and everything just kinda cools off.

Or, they could release it piecemeal, keeps the fans coming back for more like addicts to their favorite street-corner pharmacy, and string this hype out until release.

Take a guess as to which they're doing.

Yeah, playing game is pointless?

I mean we could do something else with our life than entertain us with good games like ME2, what you think?

I enjoyed the game, I'm not saying it's pointless like that, I'm just asking if all the choices we made were pointless.

Maybe because ME3 will be also standalone game, not some serie of game what can't be played without games before. Basicly I don't think any choise you make matters. It's allways just have fun with the game and story.

Judging by the confirmed squadmates in ME3 so far, I'd say our choices still matter a great deal.

Garrus was confirmed. I romanced Garrus. ME2 was worth it.

Also, they've said that Legion is going to be in it to some extent (squaddie or no is unconfirmed), so I'd say it isn't unreasonable to expect whether or not you sold him to be dissected might... you know... come up.
