I like how the board immediately goes back to kissing Bioware's ass, after calling them sellouts for most of the year.

Speak for yourself. I'm not changing my tune until I play it. Garrus was always one of the few squadmates I ever thought might be back.

Blegh, Liara? I hope not. God, why go to all the trouble of butchering her character so they can set her up as the Shadow Broker only to turn her into another gun-toting squadmate?

I hope this isn't true.

It's true.

I would imagine there's good reason for Liara to go back to gun-toting.

Like, f'rinstance, her intelligence network getting eated by giant bugs from space.

That does tend to put a damper on intelligence gathering, yes.

Well, the thing I saw indicated she would be playable at some point, but not neccesarily through the whole game.

So she could come back as a temp squaddie a few times, instead of being introduced as a main player. I mean we have no way of knowing either way.

Admittedly, that does make more sense. I can definitely see her picking up a gun a few times when needed -- maybe going out to help save an operative or something -- and then returning to her Intelligence Officer duties.

So much we don't know... I gotta admit, I'm ridiculously excited.

Lots of good news, except for the returning squadmates. I hope it's not the only ones because I would be very pissed off.

Game starts with Shepard on Earth, effectively on trial in regard to
the events of Arrival, and in the middle of the trial, the Reapers
invade. Prologue involves Shepard's escape to the Normandy

Just kill few husks and you can escape from planed attacked by Reapers? Okay.

The game will by default feature a "previously on Mass Effect" comic to make decisions with if starting from scratch.

Oh no, DarkHorse strikes back.

The Illusive Man also plays a prominent role, and Cerberus is out to kill Shepard. Reason why is unknown at this point.

Such unexpected and genius plotwist! :wizard:

Everything else seems to be cool, especially

The RPG elements are being beefed up, not going back to ME1, but giving
more freedom with the character skills. Skill trees will be larger, and
powers will evolve several times instead of just once, offering even
more freedom. Weapons are ME2 style, with a set list, but mods make a
return, not in the ME1 style, but allowing you to swap out different
parts such as barrels, scopes, and so on, which effect both the weapon's
combat performance and its appearance.

If it wasn't for us critisising Biowares decision's then chances are Bioware wouldn't attempt to even fix anything.

HA! I'm sure you'd like to think that. I would too. However Mass Effect 2 has given me some serious doubts about that.

I hope this isn't true.

Why is so hard for people to believe that Liara would give Feron control of the Shadow Broker Network while she is away?
