Mass Effect 3 is looking like a paragon dream, everybody is going to live, and all the Reapers are going to die. Woot for no casualties in a war the whole galaxy is involved in.

That actually will be our goal with the whole trilogy. To take all of the things you've done in Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2 and then just let it go. Let it diverge into wildly different conclusions. That's the real fun of having played Mass Effect 1 and 2 and then going into the third one will be that you've set all of these things in motion and now we can let them diverge. I'm not worried that people will play it and think 'Oh well I missed all of this content that would have been different if I had made other choices' because what that does is make you interested in replaying it. The replay value of Mass Effect 1 was huge, but Mass Effect 2 is much more so and I think it just continues into the conclusion of the trilogy" -Bioware on Mass Effect 3

The good thing about the third one will be that we no longer have that constraint and things can diverge as far as we can make them go.

Surprised Liara is a squad mate for the whole game. I for sure thought Mass Effect 3 would result in a lot of squad mate deaths, but BioWare are not going to kill off the Shadow Broker so I guess that's not happening.

It's the final game of the triology. The could kill of anyone they want, including the shadow broker, which they already techinally did.

1. The developers said that, I don't remeber one but I definitely remember reading that passage before
2. Why wouldn't you be able to post that, it's not spoilers and even if it was this is a spoiler's thread which includes ME3 until an actual board is made.

Also, they have only confirmed that those characters are playable at some point. I don't know where anyone got the info that they are guaranteed full time squadmates, but STOP IT. They could be temp squaddies. They could not appear 'til later in the game. Or yes, they could be full-time starter squadmates. We do not know.
It's also been stated that the game will have "Bad" endings and "Good" endings. I think you'll probably have to work substantially harder to get a good ending than you did in ME2.
And finally, "Two million dead in the first day. Another seven million by the end of the first week. Every defense annihilated, all our forces on the run."
Yeah. Sounds like nobody's gonna get hurt there.

No prob and no that quote isn't from the magazine, it was said earlier on about ME3. They don't have to tie things to the next game anymore... so it's very possible that Cerberus was out to kill you because you stole his crew, ship, AI and blew up the Collector Base. Any other military group would want you dead for that too.

Saving the council: Don't know enough yet. Gut feeling says positive though.
Anderson/Udina: I would say that both may have their advantages, although it's more likely that Anderson is the better choice. Then again, maybe not.
Saving the rachni: Negative. Rachni husks.
Saving Wrex: Positive. Nuff said.
Saving the genophage: Not sure on this one.
Rewriting the Geth heretics: Not sure.
Saving the CB: Negative. Which means saving the council might also be negative, or vice versa. I would hope that if one choice is positive, the other is negative. balances out para/gade choices that way IMO.

Cerberus might want kill you because whatever was used to revive Shepard might have been sabotge, implanted with something else being sedated for two days during the Arrival mission, or even being around so many reapers artifacts might make Shepard go a liiitttle bit crazy in the near future. TIM might realize it might not be a good idea for galaxy greatest hope rest on someone that become indoctrinated, crazy or who hates him and know what he looks like.

Quarians are best kept in indirect (Ship) battle. War will tear them apart and they know it. So Reagar and Tali? Nah... let them... clean up the engine room or something.sonsonthebia07 wrote...
I must admit, not that I'd personally care too much (Reegar for quarian squadmate!), that I'd be extremely surprised if Tali wasn't a squadmate.
