Hi, i'm having many issues getting the game to run but finally managed it now my prob is the hyper mouse look around, i have gone through all 43 pages here and the ones that have the same prob unplugged a gamepad or something similer (as in controller of some kind) well i don't have any game pads or extra controllers running just a mouse and keyboard?

system spec:

OS: XP SP3 home
CPU: AMD Athlon II 440
RAM: 4GB ddr3 1333MHz
GPU: GTS 450 1GB ddr5
GAME: Mass Effect 1 retail , patched to 1.02

What do you mean by "hyper mouse"? If the mouse is simply too sensitive, I think the game has its own sensitivity slider. As does Windows if the game's fails.

There is also a problem related to gamepads, yes, where vestigial XInput hooks cause the camera to seize up and shake around rather than, say, letting you make a hard left. Only ever encountered it when using an XBox controller, though. But if you're experiencing this for some reason, have a look here.

when i mean hyper i mean move the mouse 1mm and it goes out of control as i said i have no game pads fitted and i'v tryed all the senitivity setting maybe i sould just chalk it up to badly made game and go buy something else lol

ok so i'm guessing then that no one else has come accross this issue but me?

i came across the issue on when using my original DVD from years ago.

i tried the Steam version and the problem doesn't exist, so there is some difference between versions.
