Xbox 360 owners and PC gamers should not get the dark horse digital comic book.

I own the PS3 version and the comic book is what I think helps give the PS3 version more of it's identity.  I think Bioware kind of owes PS3 gamers for making us wait a year to play this masterpiece so I think we're entitled to content that owners of other platforms don't have access to, especially considering we paid full price.

I have heard the comic book is going to become a piece of DLC for the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game and I hope that doesn't happen because it's only fair having waited a year that PS3 owners get special stuff not to mention never having even had access to the original game in the first place.

Well, if they released all the pre-order equipment dlc that they "gave" to the PS3 to the 360 owners that want to spend some money on all things ME, I would be ok with not laying eyes on the comic. As it is, it seems as the easy way out for those that don´t want to go through ME1 again. To me that´s a bad decision, but it´s their loss.

Its not a case of Bioware 'owing' anybody. The fact that they took the time to give you the game at all should be compensation enough for waiting a year. Besides, you got slightly improved graphics and all the DLC.

That is a flat out lie.  We still had to pay for Arrival and the alternate appearance packs.
Also, the reduced price of the retail versions of Mass Effect 2 for other platforms still makes the PS3 version the most expensive even factoring in DLC prices.

We PS3 gamers deserve exclusive content.

That's perfectly reasonable. We have Mass Effect 1 and you don't, the least Bioware can do is make Genesis a PS3 exclusive.

And that sir is illogical. I payed 60 bucks for ME2 when it came out , same as you (70 actually for the collectors edition). I then paid just under 30 bucks to get Kasumi, Overlord, LotSB, and Firepower. In total, I paid nearly a hundred dollars on this game, most likely a lot more than you, so I say I'M entitled to Genesis.

EDIT: And if you have the Equalizer pack or the Aegeis pack you have MORE content than me for less money. I would have had to pay separately for those things and I didn't.

Even buying ME2 for  less then the 35 dollars at amazon that Bioware links to in the game´s page, buying all the dlc´s cost me double the game. If my memory serves me well,I´ve probably spent 75 euros on the game and dlc´s. The PS3 version is going for retail here in Portugal for 55 euros , and it has all the dlc with the exception of Appearance pack 2 and Arrival. Couple that with pre-order exclusive dlc that is not availabe on Live that was given for free at first and now is charged.

Dude, they owe the ps3 owners nothing. If anything they owe xbox 360 and pc users. Allow us to buy the pre-order dlc that was made available on the PSN.

And the exclusive content is thing is a pipe dream.Atleast meaningful content like character/story dlc. And even guns and armors is debatable.EA is out to make money.

This goes against everything Bioware believes in, that all players are equally deserving of content and no group, minor or major deserves more. So no, PS3 should be no more exclusive to darkhorse than 360 should be to the entire ME franchise.

Going by Amazon.co.uk:

ME2 PS3 is £21.98, 360 version is £9.36, PC is £9.99.

Kasumi + Overlord + LotSB total approximately £14.85 (£4.33 + £4.33 + £6.19 in Bioware Points).

So that's a total of £21.98 for the PS3, £24.21 for 360 and £24.84 for PC for the same content.

Besides, PS3 already has access to the Collector Assault Rifle and other items that cannot be obtained for PC or 360 users unless they pre-ordered or boght the Collector's Edition. PS3 version also has updated graphics.

For reference, I own the game on PC and PS3.

Again I say that Genesis being exclusive to the PS3 is not a problem, because it´s a substitute for ME1. What pisses me off is how people crap on what was given to them. I for one would gladdly pay 400 points or more for a gear pack if it included the terminus sistem weapon and armor, the dr. pepper promotion gear and  the dragon age armor. I´m not asking for the colector amor and assault rifle because I think that it would cheapen their importance in the Colectors Edition. But I wouldn´t say no to it:D

Let's compare what the current prices are:

                                              Xbox                                           PC                                            PS3

Mass Effect 2:                       $20                                            $20                                           $60
Apperance Pack 1:              $2                                               $2                                             $2
Kasumi:                                 $7                                               $7                                             Included in game
Equalizer Pack:                    $2                                               $2                                             $2
Overlord:                                $7                                               $7                                             Included in game
Aegis Pack:                           $2                                               $2                                             $2
Firepower Pack:                   $2                                               $2                                             $2
Shadowbroker:                     $10                                            $10                                           Included in game
Appearance Pack 2:            $2                                               $2                                             $2
Arrival:                                    $7                                               $7                                             $7
Recon Operations Pack:  Not available                           Not available                            $2
N7 Complete Bundle:      Not abailable                           Not available                            $7

Total (with N7 Bundle):   $61                                             $61                                         $74
Total (without N7):           $61                                             $61                                         $79
Total (just story DLC):     $51                                             $51                                         $67

So for PS3 users, you spend a whole $16 more right now to get the same amount of story. However, don't forget you get slightly updated graphics and game engine. If you include the non-story DLC, you spend $13 more, plus you get the Recon Operations Pack which includes things not available to PC and 360 owners, unless they bought the collecter's edition or got in on the Dr. Pepper promo items and you get the Terminus armor and heavy weapon which everyone else could only get by having pre-ordered at Gamestop.

Plus, this is just comparing the prices of right now. If you factor in that most people here bought ME2 when it came out, that's an extra $40 on the pricetag of the game. So most of us spent about $100 to get the full experience, and you PS3 users still get access to things we don't. So if I were a PS3 user, I wouldn't really complain if the Genesis comic got released to PC and xbox owners as well.

360 and PC owners shouldn't want the digital comic. It was highly inaccurate. According to the comic Kaiden was a good kid. There is no Kaiden in ME1. Kaidan is in ME1 and he's older than Shepard. <_<

I suppose I didn't pay full price for ME2? No, you shouldn't get any bonuses for being on the PS3. Be happy you did though.

I'm still waiting for my bonus for waiting so long for the GTA titles to appear on the PC. Don't I deserve a comic book or something?

Of course they could have just kept Mass Effect a PC and X-Box exclusive and not given anything to PS3 owners at all, with similar reasoning to yours you could say that it's unfair that PS3 owners got access to Mass Effect 2 at all.

Generally speaking exclusivity is a bad thing, it means some people miss out while those that don't miss out aren't actually gaining anything from the exclusivity.  In fairness, it could help a smaller company who need every bit of funding to actually finish their game (or in similar circumstances) but in general it's just about making bigger profits at the cost of gamers.

I think Genesis should be released for PC and X-Box users, I'd be surprised if it doesn't make them extra profits and only selfish idiots would be upset by them making it no longer exclusive to PS3.  Similarly, I'd love to see Mass Effect available to PS3 owners (I know that's mostly up to Microsoft and unlikely to happen but it'd be a nice gesture and you never know).

I think the comic-intro should be optional, with a simple "import/default" choice for those who don't want it. There. Everyone wins.

As for me, being able to make all the "big" choices without playing through THE ENTIRE SERIES each time I want to change something, can only be called a good thing.

Not sure if trolling. My troll-o-meter does suggest it though. Take your issue up with your arch-nemesis Microsoft. And be thankful you're actually playing ME 2 on the PS 3. I think if Microsoft had their way with ME it'd be something like Fable where the PC version may never see daylight, and PS 3 doesn't even get a sniff of the action. Though PS 3 users will never see ME 1 unless something drastic happens.

ME2 is on 3 platforms. All 3 should have the same content. Simple.

And yes you had to buy the 2 DLC packs that came out after ME2 was released on PS3. Whats so unfair about that? Seeing as people who bought the XBox360 version at launch and have bought all DLC have paid more than you.

Yeah, I don't think XBox and PC gamers should get the comic either, mainly because it's effing terrible.
