I entered the Wending Woods and got to the Silverite Mines where the Architect puts me into prison and takes my gear and his monsters are wearing my gear, only I have been through the entire place over and over and my main characters gear is not there anywhere. The only place it could be is in the chest in the guys office but its locked and there is no key anywhere... So am I to just replace all that gear I played so hard for? Do I get it back if I continue past the two boss dragons? Once I fight them the game locks me out of where my gear is supposed to be. So can someone please tell me wtf is up before I go all gamer rage on my PC? Please please and if you can help me I love you!Image IPB

the Apothocary? WTF? Thats a bug in the silverite mine, if your characters appeared in their underwear in that prison then that means your stuff has been destroyed. Otherwise it should be on the monsters or in the a chest next to Armass or that Qunari merchant.

Lol yeah, I got back all the gear for the three people I brought with me, and the Chest next to the Qunari was empty. Guess I get to restart the game after all. Dang-it.

I guess you still don't realize that the guy who imprisoned you is called the Acrhitect not what ever you said.

Oh yes, that helps me loads, thank you so much for criticizing my forum post, because we all know that had I put "Architect" instead of "Apothecary" my problem would have been solved and I would have my gear back by now. Oh and by the way Thetri you spelled Architect wrong. So perhaps before you go judging me in my moment of need you will look to your self for your own wrong doings.

Have everyone enter the mines naked to be safe. You'll get their gear back when you loot the chest by Armas.

The items that usually go "missing" are ones with character/class requirements, like "restriction: blood mage" or "restriction: Velanna", and anything that an arcane warrior might be wearing that a normal mage could not due to strength requirements.

Thank you very much. I will give it a try. Just to be safe I am going to create two save files one before I enter and then one for my progress in the mine. I had to start over from the begining, and it sucks because I had already done so much of the game before I decided to go into the mine, too. Thanks again for your advice. =)

I took your advice and entered the mines, I got to the chest next to Armaas and my gear was there, also I saw on a different forum post that there was a bug fix for there, I am not sure if it was just taking your advice or that I downloaded the fix but it worked, so thank you.

Also this is the actual download file for the fix for anyone else having the same issue, it will take you straight to the download page. Good luck all. <3

I stripped the main character (dalish elf) of all his clothes etc. Then I went into the Silverite Mine, I woke up in normal clothing, and then I fought my way out...

If you, or any of your companions woke up all in their undies it means that the ghoul that the Architect made isn't a high enough level to wear it, generally this only happens with your wardens ghoul. Hopefully you have a load before the mines, take all your armor and gear off and then go back into the mine. your gear should then be with everyone else in the chest by the qunari salesmen.

Not critisizing just pointing it out. I came to this thread because I thought this "Apothecary" was from a side quest i missed. Well thanks for being insensitive about my spelling, I really like having people critisize my spelling helps me with my english. To put it simple, not all forum users are naturally english, so there is going to be spelling/grammar errors. Also I did help you, I told you in a previous post about the bug and your belongings being in a chest next to the Qunari.

Same happened to me... anyway i was able to kill all the bosses, mother included, wearing low level gear. It does'nt change drammatically the fight's result. Around 30th lvl, rogues, warriors and MAGES have so powerfull skills, bombs, potions and spells... Anyway thanks a lot to CREVLIN for posting the bug advice ('couse it's a BUG!!) and also the link for fixing it.

Just load back to a previous save and take of your equipment. But some equipment their is bugs for and you can't get them back if your wearing them.

I feel your pain ! I had a DW rogue with both the Voice of Velvet and the Roses Thorn daggers (both maxxed out with paragon runes) lose both weapons permanately after being bushwacked by the Archtect at the Silverite Mine.Being very frustrated , and ok anal, I restarted the game to regain both weapons. Let me suggest an alternate method that worked for me. First let me state this works on PC Vista, I don't know about other systems. Save your game as a NEW save at the Mine enterance, not a QUICK save. Additionally, if you haven't disabled auto save it will quickly eat up your save slots and you will lose your Mine start point if things go fubar. With a new save you can always go back to your start point without restarting the whole game. Don't make the same mistake I did! Next load everything you don't to lose onto another character, using alternate weapon slots where possible. Anything you pile on the ally will replace what they were carrying and you will lose those. You get ambushed right at the start so don't worry having to fight barehanded. As you go along in the mission you will regain all your equipment back as you kill the experiment clones. The Mine part of the mission is extremely bugged with problems. Sometimes your PC clone doesn't even show up , or even drop your original gear if it does! The storage chest just before the two dragon thrall fight may or may not the remaining gear in your backpacks. Again bugged. The only real consistancy seems to be that your party clones ALWAYS drop the gear that your allies started with, including your gear that you stashed on them. As for your armor you'll have to use Oghren or Justice as temporary mules and tank yourself will they use the heavy chain off the Alpha Hurlock at the statue. If you really don't want to lose ANYTHING store everything at Vigils Keep then blip back to the Mine enterance and hope you don't get jumped en route. Probably the best advice I can give you is to always save your game as a NEW save everytime you enter a new major area for the first time (city, forest , marsh, whatever). Different slots obviously. This will prevent a huge amount of backtracking if things go awry.
I hope this was of use to you. Best of luck!
