I've been testing out DEX/CUN/Rogue Armor throughout Act I, and I've got to say, it's working out great.

Are you still using the dex/cun build now that you're in Act II? If so, what equipment are you planning on using?

I currently have equipped:

Cap of the Antivan King
Chestguard of the Scoundrel
The Hands of Fate
Neophyte Mage Boots (Blood Magic 1:1)

Some fights with the Qunari would be good.  Before that, I don't know.

They're heavily resistant to fire, so its not like we'd be able to get an accurate scale from that either though. Well at least not from Firestorm, or a the Staff of Parthalan.

Another DEX/CUN video, this time in probably the toughest fights in the game (for lesser beings), Dissent.

Spoiler: Anders and Sebastian get dirty. Also, Force Mage shenanigans ensue.

Blood/Force Mage - Dissent

Another fun fact for the day:

Did you know that on my first playthrough, I had to use Dougal Gavorn to get in the Deep Roads because I spent most of my money on prostitutes in the Blooming Rose?

True.  The vulnerability to fire displayed by the guard pretenders in Act 1 borders on the ridiculous.  They take so much damage from fire attacks that I wonder if they might be bugged.  Seeing some fights against other enemies known to be vulneable to fire would be a good control.

The Qunair fire/lightning immunity was precisely my reason for choosing them.  It would take firestorm, tempest, and chain lightning out of the picture.  I was thinking that it might give us a better idea of the kind of damage that auto attacks are doing.  Presumably hitting a Qunari with a cold staff would do similar damage to hitting a fire vulnerable creature with a fire staff.  But still, you're right.  Attacking another group of fire vulnerable enemies and comparing the damage to that done to the guard pretenders would be better.

Prostitutes, huh?  Did you get the "special service?"  I just had to use Dougal on my current mage run, but only because I spent money on some gear.  I usually just rely on gear that I find, only shelling out the cash for a few truly awesome items.

My current attributes are:

13 STR
20 DEX
51 MAG
20 CUN
22 WIL
16 CON

Note that I have been using attribute-boosting items to help me meet gear requirements! I am using the Enchanted Silverite Chain Belt, Cap of the Antivan King, Vestments of the Mystic, Dull Brass Amulet, Ring of Resilience, and The Fallen Star. Normally, all of this would be expensive to obtain, but I gave myself extra sovereigns to comfortably test everything out.

Hmmm.  Compare the damage done on her auto attacks in this video to the damage done to the rage demons in her two minute Nexus clear.  It's about the same, which you would expect since both templars and rage demons are vulnerable to cold.  The crit damage may have been a bit higher on the templars, but I don't think I saw any crits on the rage demons in the nexus video so it's hard to compare.

I'm pretty sure that you should be able to afford everything besides the fallen star on an efficient playthrough (from the start of Act II that is). And the fallen star isn't really that necessary.. It probably helps with fragility a little but i'm doing alright with absolutely no constitution.
Makes me feel like a real glass cannon

I've added a new video, The Force Mage Master class, which shows you some of the tricks I've picked up while playing this class. Assassins are no sweat, and clustered mobs are dead before they can even get close to you. A good video to watch if you want to pick up a few things to make your Force Mage play smoother.

If you're in Germany, use Youtubeproxy to watch,

This is likely true, but I decided to say it in the interest of full disclosure. Getting told I'm cheating or modding is rather tiresome. Better to be transparent than not mention something, and have it brought against you.

AreleX,

I notice you're running with Sebastian now. How are you liking him so far? Have you delved into his personal abilities tree much yet?

Also, what staff is it that you're using the Force Mage Master video? I don't recognize it.

Sebastian is a fun change of pace. His personal tree is good, but it's not Varric's (then again, who's personal tree does Varric's NOT **** all over), so he's just kind of a low-rent knockoff. You could make a case for him if there were a tactic you could set to make NPCs fully exploit their chains before doing the finisher (Arrow of Judgment, Debilitating Arrow), but there isn't, so he's just not as good. Still cool to have an alternative, though.

The staves I was using were the Allure's Crook (Sebastian's Act II personal quest, Repentance, drop) and Cold-Blooded.

You guys know that I'm going to make this fight look like a complete joke, right? You must!

Force Mage vs Assassin is so free. SO free.

EDIT: Forgot my fun fact on the video!

Did you know that I am also the greatest Mass Effect 2 player in the universe?

HA! Nice. I love the vanguard class in ME2. After playing vanguard, everything else just seemed boring.

I know you're going to dominate my ass, but hell, I'm asking for it!

And yeah, I've started up ME2 again because of you. Just haven't gotten around to it yet since I've got to finish my umpteenth playthrough of DAO first.

Figures, someone that loves DA just has to love ME, too!

ME2 should take priority, what is wrong with you?! And what can I say, I'm kind of a hardass. Feel free to ask if you need assistance with the finer points of being a boss.

Not-so-secret secret: I vastly prefer playing the second entries of both series over the first. I am, apparently, the mouth-breather they were trying to appease with the flashy, 'push-button-something-awesome-happens' gameplay.

I still love DA1/ME1, but I enjoy playing their successors more.

I invested all 4 of my bonus Fade points into DEX and CUN, am currently working on getting my CON up to a more comfortable level, and then I will continue investing into DEX and CUN. Once I reach that point, I'll likely go 1:1:1 for DEX, CUN, and MAG.

I'm going to take a nap, I've been up for like 30 hours, and absolutely wired out of my mind for the last 8-10 of them.

If the Devil pisses, Red Bull mixed with vodka would be the by-product of his fiery penis. That stuff is distilled bad idea juice, liquid belligerence.

Provided that my heart does not explode, I'll record Inside Job sometime today or tomorrow.
