I think it was a nice change in pace and I wouldn't mind something like this once or twice in ME3 but not regularly since it seems their engine is not really set up for it.
Arrival's stealth sequence (Covert Operative) - what do you think of it?

Stealth?! What stealth, I just carried on shooting, business as usual!

To me, any stealth mechanic that doesn't acknowledge the infiltrators stealth ability isn't well implemented. It was a nice idea to try, but I feel that it didn't quite work.

I love the fact that the option was there to stealth through that section. I do think they should have added more sections that allow individual classes to really shine.
For example...
Infiltrator - As stated having a section where you need a tactical cloak to get past a room full of guards.
Sentinel - Make one of the paths past one of those flame jets that only the Sentinel's tech shield can withstand.
Vanguard - Charge across a chasm to avoid the guards.
Engineer - You can use your bot as a distraction then hack the security system.
Adept - Singularity in the right place will open up a new path.
As for the soldier ... well let's face it, they're supposed to run in guns blazing, so it's counter productive for them to avoid guards, right?

Average. But I like stealth, so if this is a sign of things to come, I'm not bothered.

If the devs are experimenting with this in Arrival to present it as a viable option in ME3 I'm all for it. Just make stealth more difficult for non-tech classes (disabling security systems and counter measures) and more difficult in general. Sure I want the option to charge in as a Soldier/Vanguard and kill everything in my way. I also want the option to avoid combat methodically with my Infiltrator/Sentinel en-route to the mission objective.
This. More freedom in the combat scenarios isn't bad as long as the mechanics are fine-tuned.

Horrible... BUT I would love to see Bioware improve on it.

Yeah, see, you don't have to shoot them during that sequence. Hence the topic.

I loved it! I only wish that BioWare had included an option to stalk an opponent and eliminate him by covering his mouth with your off hand as you slit his throat with a blade so that you could hear the gurgling as you take him down. That would have been awesome!
Would really like to see more of it in ME3 with the mentioned improvement added for good measure.
