Bioware,
Having recently finished DA2, I just felt the need to express my appreciation and thanks for the game, especially in  the face of the criticism it seems to be receiving from much of the fanbase. Naturally, all that follows is my own opinion, and if others feel differently that's fine. I must admit, early on I was troubled by the mixed reviews DA2 had been receiving from many people on these forums, despite the generally favorable professional ones. I had preordered my copy, but was not able to play until a few weeks after its release, and I didn't know what to expect. As a big fan of Origins, I was seriously worried that the streamlined approach, derided by many as "simplified", would put a dent in the experience, and that the seemingly short production time would be reflected in a poor story, as many have complained that the game was too unfocused in this regard. Boy, were my fears relieved. After having finally completed the game after a week of near-obsessive play, I feel like I have to add my voice in support of this game. Sure, its not DAO, but different does not mean worse, and in many cases it was for the better. I believe that most people who have been critical of this game, at least on these forums, felt betrayed because they wanted and expected something that had closer ties to a more classical RPG like origins, and they have every right to their opinion. But as I realized, DA2 is not Origins, it is its own game, and must be judged as such. Accepting that DA2 does things differently, but still does them well (in my opinion) helped me enjoy this game, dare I say, even more than DAO. Tactics? Still essential, espcially at the harder difficulties. Decision making? Plenty to go around, especially in the late stages, and each one felt like it had real weight. Companions? Probably my favorite squad since Mass Effect 1, with great banter that had me stopping to listen. Story? Sure, there was no overriding threat throughout, unless you count the continuous, growing tension between templars and mages, but I loved this aspect of the game as well. It felt that there were real chapters to my story, challenges that were faced and overcome followed by a calm before the next storm. All in all Bioware, I felt that you delivered a superb product in DA2 that was well worth my money. I only bother posting this message at all because I know that you guys do read these forums and listen to your fans for our response, and this is reflected in your game design. This is also what makes you guys such a great company to be a fan of. Not all of us are annoyed with you for DA2, and I'll bet that most of us had a great time playing it. Now hurry up with ME3 so I can joyfully waste another week of my life.

No offence, but can you edit it for paragraphs and readability?

And I disagree with you. Its a highly flawed game, riddled with game/immersion breaking bugs, and a lack lustre main lead who is over shadowed by the bit players around him.
