I know of 'Sophie's Choice" mod but its not fully working but is there anotehr way to get Bethany to live instead of Carver if you want to play  as a mage?

That'll add her to your party, but it won't make Carver die instead. As for whether or not it'll cause the plot to bug, I haven't actually tried it.

I always play a warrior, so I may give this a shot and see what happens with dialogues if I add Carver to the party this way. Any excuse to do another play through...
