I'm a touch confused about the platform-specific thing... I'm tired at the moment so forgive me if this is a dumb question: is it possible that some of the issues will only be resolvable on the one platform? i.e. could the PC version contain fixes that the xbox/ps3 ones won't? *angst*

I took that as that there are some bugs that are specific to a certain platform. For example, the aspect ratio and cutscene glitches would only conceivably show up on consoles, and I'm pretty sure that there are some other console-only or PC-only bugs as well.

Oh and thanks for the update Bioware! I'm just glad it's finally being fixed up. ^_^

This is good news! I reached Act 3 with my mage and I got Merrill's companion quest bug again so I think that I will wait until the patch is released and start Act 3 over.

Oh man if I boot up my 360 on Tuesday, and there is no update. I'll die a little inside.

As someone who often clarifies his enjoyment of DA2, I heartily agree. This is a bit too much waiting.

The Tuesday thing is for marketplace updates. Title updates can come down on any day.

Which does not change the fact that this has indeed, gone on far too long.

Does this patch also include the summary for those who played Witch Hunt to appear because it says nothing about my Warden going into the Mirror World with Morrigan nor does it say anything if i did not go with her?

Great.

I really hope that list includes the friendship bug, it's the main reason I stopped playing.

Nevermind, it appears it was included in the first thing listed. I'm practically giddy with anticipation.

While I appreciate that the original post could only list SOME of the bugfixes that will be included in the patch, considering how much time has been spent on these forums by people frustrated with the non-transference of flags from DA:O and Awakenings I am extremely concerned that any fix related to this hasn't been mentioned.

To be blunt, while I'm delighted to see gamebreaking bugs like the friendship-ability glitch are being addressed, I am still going to be mightily hacked off in a post-patch run-through to see "Fools Gold" trigger and miss out on "Finding Nathaniel" again...

Wait a sec...you were supposed to get summaries about Witch Hunt? I played all of the DLC, but my import summary only contained the stuff about my main DA:O game.

Bioware gave you ME2 for free as a token of gratitude for beta testing their game.

I think the real reason for giving away ME2 was an effort to increase sales and give to DA2 some positive publicity for a change.

- The effects of various follower talents and item properties are now being properly removed and re-applied when loading and saving.

Or more specifically, fixing Isabela's Thumbs Up glitch (as well as Sebastians), and thank goodness! Even being aware of the glitch and its many "rules", I can't seem to avoid it.

With this specifically, will this take immediate effect? As in, if I load a save with Isabela in my party that triggers the bug under the current release but have yet to recieve any slowdown effects because I haven't loaded a save without her in the party, after the patch do I have to worry about that?

Either way, thanks for fixing this, and please let this be approved soon. It really cannot come fast enough.

IMO I has allready been to late. I have been so disconnected from the story that I feel like I would need to revert back about 15 hours to the beginning to act 2 to catch up on the story. It has been over a month since I have been able to play the game.

Ahhh, that would make sense. ^_^

I hope that there arent platform specific fixes. It seems like they've put a lot of work into this patch, which I'm happy to see, but if I have to wait another few weeks (or heaven forbid another month) to get some core gameplay glitches fixed I wont be as happy.

And about the Beta comment, I whole heartidly agree. I would not have minded AT ALL if the game had been released in April. An easter release would have been better than a BETA version of this game. This was clearly a case of something being pushed out when it wasn't ready. Please BioWare; take your time. If it takes you 4 years to make DA3 I will wait for it. I promise. Just please no more cluster****s like this.

I think it's actually EA you should say that to. I think that that sort of thing is now out of Bioware's hands. I could be wrong but I think EA could beat Bioware like a red-headed stepchild if they don't release a game in the time period EA want.

Also, the game they test is not the same as the one we play. You never know what happens during the manufacturing process. There's so many hands a game goes through. Not a game out in the world that is bug free. Some bugs most people aren't even aware of, too. We're just lucky we live in the world of game patches. When I started gaming, bugged games were bugged and there was nothing you could do about it.

Thanks for the update. Been looking forward to some quest fixes.
So far I haven't played the game due to the lack of fixes and/or DLC.

Oh, and I wouldn't jump on to download the patch as soon as I can btw, I'll wait an extra day to evade any server problems. :P

Uh no they did not. That was for the PC users, the console gamers are left behind with a utterly bugged game. 1 month after release and we are still waiting for a propper patch<_<
