A 100 issues to be fixed? Christ, did you guys bother to even look at this game before shipping? For an AAA company of your rapport, that is inexcusable. Regardless, at least we have the patch, or rather will have it.

Will They announce in a new thread that the patch is out?

Im sure they will. Im guessing it will be out by the weekend. I dont think it will be out tomorrow, but Thursday or Friday are most likely. I think they'll give us a heads up the day before its out. they already said they would be discussing more details sometime this week.

UPDATE: Monday, April 11, 2010.

Hi everyone. I hope you had a good weekend. We're working with Valve right now on dotting the i's and crossing the t's for the Steam rollout. Based on our current estimates, we expect the 1.02 Patch to go live on PC/Mac sometime tomorrow (Tuesday, April 12).

On consoles, the 1.01 title update is progressing smoothly through final certification at Microsoft and Sony. No issues have been found and they're currently projecting release dates of sometime next week - we're working with them to see if we can pull those dates in any further.

Last Friday we discussed some of the universal fixes that we’ve made across all the platforms. Today we’re providing a high-level view of some of the platform-specific fixes that you can expect.

CONSOLES:
- The options menu now includes auto-attack.
- Armor values now adjust correctly when changing shields.
- Choosing a target at close range is now easier.
- Cinematics are no longer distorted on certain standard-definition televisions.
- Hawke no longer gains excessive coin and experience from rapidly and repeatedly completing a single sidequest.
- Various technical changes should improve performance, limit crashes, and address memory-related issues.

PC & MAC:
- Various issues specific to DirectX 11 no longer occur.
- It is now easier to select party members by clicking on their portraits when the level-up arrow is displayed.
- The game now functions correctly across different desktop sizes.
- The video options menu now allows a wider full-screen gamma range.
- Various technical changes should improve performance and limit crashes.
- We’ve improved our crash reporting and our ability to analyze those reports. If you’re still experiencing crashes, we encourage you to play logged in so we can identify and resolve your issues in the future.

This patch should address the bulk of the major issues that people are experiencing. We’re already hard at work on addressing further issues with our next patch and we’ll be setting up some specific threads in the various tech support forums to help capture any major issues that you’re still facing after these patches go live.

Next week for console title update? Isn't that what you said last week? 100 fixes? This game was broken on release. I'm so disappointed with this game on so many different levels, but that many bugs is simply unforgivable.

Nice!

But what the hell. No added inspection during looting of corpses and containers? It's on the PC version and not on the 360... I guess i have to pick up every item and then inspect them. Oh well. Glad to hear the memory and crashes are somewhat fixed in this upcoming patch.

Technically, it's not 100 fixes, it's over 100 changes. The majority of them being bug fixes but some are backend changes or small tweaks to systems that you will never see (or even know about). If I were to guess I would say only half (if that) apply to the end user.

Out of curiosity, is there any chance Armistice/Goad will be fixed with this patch?  It wasn't mentioned in the console-specific changes, so now I'm wondering.  Thanks in advance!

DA2 is perhaps my worst game purchase ever. Its been over a month that this game has been unplayable and will have to wait at least another week for the patch to finally come out.

Well thank god for that. Still though, Bioware has fallen so far.

Thank God indeed. I appreciate that this issue is one that they will resolve.

lol wow i have to wait another week? total bs.. should have just released a quick fix for the slowmo bug since it's the most wide spread bug on all platforms and the only bug i have ever run across in DA2 which forced me to stop playing. Man i am so tired of waiting, i'll probably wont even want to play anymore by the time they update.

How about telling us if you decided to include a trigger to "who needs rescuing", seriously, I didn't have too many bugs in my game, but this one was gamebreaking to me at least, personally I like to finish quests that were in the game I purchased

I hear ya! I'm on my 4th playthrough and hit that snag again. Very frustrating!

F*** yeah! :D

Thanks for fixing this up. It's not a game-breaker, technically, but it really limited my enjoyment of the game.

You silly people and your standard definition televisions :-P.  I believe the presiding sentiment in the other thread was that you shouldn't own an XBox 360 unless you have an HDTV.  Since you'll be getting rid of yours, I'll be happy to take it off your hands!

Thanks Bioware for responding to the many issues with DA II, I know you're staff is working hard to get back on top. You've a long way to go with all the in-game play and console issues. I for one am very disappointed when comparing DA II to DAO or earlier games like ME II. Its just not the same (not really a true RPG) and I do believe we were Beta testers even though that was probably not your intent. Step back and re-look at what made DAO and ME II truly great games and RPGer favorites before releasing another epic game like the prequels I just mentioned. I'm still a true fan and look forward to replaying DA II when fixes are near complete. I just believe it will take your technical staff some long days and nights to mitigate fan displeasure. And please, keep us updated as to "fixes" updates as you have been on this site.

Mass Effect 2 is a true RPG and Dragon Age II isn't? WTF? {face_laugh}
