DLC suddenly unauthorized.

Tried to play this afternoon and can not load saved games due to DLC not being authorized. I have logged out and relogged a few times. Also tried to do an install of both the DLC and full game. (not a total install-i did not uninstall first).
I have been looking over the forums for help with no luck. I have tried to change that profile file which a few folks suggested. Game did that but no help. I've looked for the DAUpdater which other people suggest but can't find it.
This is the MAC version so I'm confused by most of the Windows suggestions.
Would really appreciate the help. I'm really trying to finish the game before diving into DA2.
Thanks in advance

You can check if your DLC is authorized by using the menu on the left side of this page, under your profile picture. Navigate to Profile -> Your Registered Game Content. There will be a list with all your authorized DLC. Right now, the don't show up in-game as authorized however. Same with me and countless other users out there.

I imagine it's a bug with their authentication servers or something like that. Hopefully it's resolved soon. I can't play any of my save games because of it!

See this post in the General Forum. I've made it work in my Mac.
I have tried this fix and it did not work for me. My save games are able to load, but the DLC content doesn't show up.
I suspect the fix works only if you bought the physical copy of the game. For those of us who bought the deluxe digital download are SoL on this particular fix. As far as I can tell, we simply cannot play the game until EA/BioWare fixes this problem.
I can understand a company wanting to protect its profits against piracy, but at this point they're shooting themselves in the foot with this. It is disappointing, to say the least, that I cannot enjoy a product which I paid for.
I hope EA/Bioware will at least relase some information that they are aware/working on this problem. It doesn't seem to be an isolated problem.

I've got the Deluxe Digital download. I tried it out and it worked for me. But then, I could also start the Game WITHOUT messing with Addins.xml by logging out, disconnecting my internet, and starting the game. It won't ask about logging in, and DLC was there.EugeneChoo wrote...

The hackers and thieves have already cracked the so-called verification codes (it's what they do) and the authorization schemes never really stop them.
I'm done now. :-)

@xichus: Totally with you there, piracy isn't stealing - it is copyright infringement. No one gets anything taken from them. The copyright holder may not sell as many copies, but they still have their content. DRM, on the other hand, is actual stealing - we have paid Bioware for our content, and now they have disabled it. We no longer have our content, which we paid for: Bioware have "stolen" it.
Breaking copyright is still illegal and amoral of course, and one shouldn't do it, but surely DRM is more amoral and should be illegal as well...

Open Finder and go to your home folder (Go > Home, Shift-Cmd-H).
Go into Documents:BioWare:Dragon Age:Settings.
Drag the Addins.xml to the TextEdit icon in the Dock.
Make sure you have a backup of this file. I suppose you have Time Machine configured, right? If not, drag the file inside the Settings folder while pressing the Option key. This will make a copy in case something goes wrong.
Open the find Window (Edit > Find > Find…, or press Cmd-F).
Write RequiresAuthorization="1" in the Find field and RequiresAuthorization="0" in the Replace with field.
Press the Replace All button.
Save the document (File > Save, or Cmd-S).
Done.

Thanks for the info! Much appreciated. I logged on to tech support last night and spoke with a live tech guy. He advised there was nothing I could do on my end, and that they were aware of the problem. He advised I should give it 48-72 hours to be resolved.

I had DLC authorization issues for 2 months, it finally was worked out and this happened. It's the nature of the beast when playing games that have DOWNLOADABLE content and there is a NETWORK issue.
Two months? That is a shocker!

WOW man. Worked perfectly. I contacted two techs at EA and they just gave me the default ans, "The issue is being worked on right now and we will let you know when its fixed." "Can we offer you a 20$ coupon for your trouble."
WELL SURE YOU CAN. Now....after looking in the forums for two days I found one answer that worked for me.
I suspect this will WORK FOR MANY PEOPLE.
Especially those who, like myself, bought the game THROUGH EA DOWNLOADER.
AND....who bought dragon age origins ULTIMATE EDITION.
Platform - PC
Windows 7 64 bit
The REALLY funny thing is, I bought the game when it was on sale for $20, they couldn't help me solve the problem and gave me a coupon which essentially gave me the game for free with all downloadable content.
Thanks EA......
OR SHOULD I SAY............................THANKS SPEED_COMA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased the game from Gametree in the "Ultimate Edition" from. It downloaded and installed correctly. I am able to play the base game, but when I go to the downloadable content page, it says that all of the DLCs are unauthorized. They are all successfully installed but I am unable to access them, even if I am logged in. It says on the bioware social site that I am authorized to all of the DLCs but I do not believe that that information is getting to the game. I use a mac. I have tried to alter the addin files but to no avail. I post this here to spread information about the possible causes by stating the issue. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks much.
Hi, how did you install the DLC content? Where did you get the access code from? Thx
