If you don't want to mess with Addins.xml, try logging out and/or disconnecting your machine from the internet. Then have a look at your "downloadable content" tab in-game. DLC should now be "enabled" and the "unauthorized" tag should be gone.

If you are logged out or disconnected from the internet, the game won't ask you to log in and the DLC should work. (It worked for me (DD edition))

Try this first, it might be safer than editing Addins.xml, which seems to have caused problems with some users.

Okay.....another round of thanks go out to EA or Bioware....not sure who to thank on this one.

Get the DLC working and when I load up my saves:

1. Some characters have NO CLOTHES ON (Alistair is completely naked with no shield / weapon)
2. Spells are all screwed up....some are there....some are not
3. Quest armor is gone.
4.  Various Items and Weapons are missing

Basically I'm at the 44 hour mark on the game and I have to start over

Thanks for completely wasting my time EA / Bioware. How are you going to fix this? Give me a card with some time on it. I've never had as much trouble with games lately as I have with Bioware and EA.

They make some of the BEST GAMES which draws you in, but after you put a bunch of time into them......one day....BANG....kiss your work goodbye.

For whatever reason, the DLC has begun to work for me. Thanks for all of the help that I received here. Although the issue seems to have fixed itself, it is nice to know that there are people willing to help.

Admiral, your problem was probably the one hundreds (thousands) of others had the past four days, because the EA authorization servers were borked.

i did this, and the content apears as being authorised but when i try to load a save or start a new game the please log in window shows up, please help?

Ultimate Edition is weird and I'm not very familiar with it. So I might be completely wrong here. Just so you know. But at least I won't recommend you re-install or wipe your HD...

So, your DLC shows up in-game (under Downloadable content) as "Enabled" and without the "unauthorized" tag? And you are still being asked to log in? Did you stay offline when starting the game? Did you disable "automatic log-in" in your Options and/or log-in tab? Stupid question, lockedbox, but you ARE running DA:O on Mac, right? If you answer all questions with "yes" then I'm definitely out of solutions there.

If nothing works, I think this is a case for Customer Support, sadly...
