In the opening of the game, when it tells you you have to grab the medi-gel from the container on the wall, it won't let me get the medi-gel. I walk right up to it, and there's no option to grab the medi-gel, no interaction options at all. I tried pressing every button, nothing works.
Interestingly, somebody else posted about having this problem on the PC version of this game on the forums here a few months ago.
I'm guessing this is a glitch? I can't picture there being some complicated series of buttons I have to press to get the medi-gel. Has anybody else had this problem?
Can't get medi-gel in intro.

Nope, I literally just gave wilson his medi-gel, currently giving him the 'I ain't working for cerberus' talk

I only hope this is something fixable, whether through restarting the game or deleting and re-installing the data...I don't want to do either of those for something so stupid(considering I have 2 medi-gel already), but I really don't want this to be a broken game after having paid almost $60 for it. I already regret buying a game through Steam; I don't need to regret this, too.
And I've already tried quitting and loading the game, the problem is still there.
But when the game is working correctly, what is it that you have to do to get the medi-gel? Maybe I did somehow miss it?

With your last question, you walk over to the Medi-Gel container on the wall and press X. Then you press&hold R2 (I think that's the right one) and pick Unity from the bottom of the wheel to fix Wilson. That's it. Nothing special. Since you already have Medi-Gel, then perhaps you just need to use Unity?

That's what I thought. Unfortunately, walking up to it and pressing X did nothing. I tried walking over to Wilson but every time I did it said to go grab the medi-gel.
In the end I just deleted the save file and started over, it worked fine this time.
Now I just have to deal with the fact that the game ignored at least one of the decisions I made in Genesis.
I need to stop buying games so soon after they come out, the past few new games I've bought have all had glitches. I kind of miss the PS2-era when developers didn't have much of a choice and had to make sure the games didn't have issues like this before releasing them due to the lack of downloadable patches...
But, I digress. This particular glitch was a strange one, and weird that it affected so few people but across different platforms. Hm...

That is a weird glitch (well, I've had several odd ones, like one of my squadmates being completely frozen a foot or so off the ground, behind cover...didn't respond to commands or anything, so I had to leave him there...fought through another room and about 7-10 minutes after I had left my guy, I hear him suddenly start responding to my commands and pop up near me...and then after a fight right by where he reappeared, he tried to run back to where we'd come from, but I guess leashed back...real weird).
I've never had your's, where I couldn't interact with something, though (unless enemies knocked out of the map count...had to restart from a save to fix that issue when I charged an enemy out of the map...oops).
As for the Genesis glitch, you have the patch that came out this week? There seems to be an issue that patch is causing with the comic. I haven't made any new Shepard's since the patch, so I have not got to experience this glitch (my luck I'll get it...patch fixed a rare crash issue caused by DLC...I had that
).
And sadly, I think this sort of thing will continue to be more and more common, as game consoles get more like computers, with all this extra stuff on them, not just games.
