That said, have you tried reloading older saves? And do you play all the time with the console enabled? If the latter, don't. It can corrupt your game. Only use it sparingly.

According to Gaider I think, the epilogues in DAO and DAA are supposed to be considered "general rumor". Some things dont necessarily end up like "people" thought they did, or those things simply havnt happened yet. I think one of the writers said that if Anders "died" in your DAA it was a case of body mis-identification.
oh plz... how convenient... a body mis-identification wtf this would be an excuse? an awful excuse for their mistakes
Like I say I DONT BUY IT!!!<_<
Well, I mean, if that's what the authors say than that is what it is. You can either be stubborn about it and keep yourself from enjoying the game or accept it and move on.
authors can say whatever they want and still going to be a terrible mistake in the plot. That anders live in DA2 its SUCCKS!! He DIED in awakening so leave it dead once and for all!!! _-_

im sorry but the american revolutionaries didn't kill innocent people in a church...
You instead massacred the Native Americans and permantly eradicated their culture?
Real life comparisons are bad, they can continually be answered with 'BUT BUT THIS NATION DID THIS', mm'kay?

Or somesuch.
And since I am just about quotes, here is the ONE quote I would want to say EVERY SINGLE character in DA2:
"There is always choice. We say there is no choice only to comfort ourselves with the decision we have already made. If you understand that, there's hope."

Yea I kill him every time, so he has no purpose for me anymore.
He kills all those people, so killing him is the right choice.
Please drop this character from future DLC.
Hawke spends the entire game killing assh*les.
Anders blows up a bunch of assh*les in the end.
If you sentence him to death, shouldn´t your Hawke commit suicide?
My Hawke killed in defense. Whenever possible I used the silver tongue. It worked with the elves ex-werewolf, freeing Grace and a few other places. I wouldn’t be interested in playing a game that asked me to kill an unarmed defenseless person. It just doesn’t feel right. If we killed all ****, then I’m sure there would be very few left in the town.
I didn't have any problem killing Anders. Anders expects it. You are actually doing him a favor. Anders knows he committed a crime and expects the people that died deserved Justice. The person that carries out the execution does not see themselves without fault. They do it because others demand retribution. If you don’t kill him and Aveline is in your party, she makes it clear that she intends to take him in for his crime. You can get her to support the mages but not support his crime. This we would expect from any law enforcement officer.Being an **** doesn’t get you the death penalty.

Wow, I would never kill Anders. He's so cute lol *Yes, I'm THAT shallow* And my heart just goes out to him, when he's rocking back and forth at the end, just sitting there, so depressed and scared. I want to hug him
It's okay if you don't kill him. I purchased their guide for this game and they were going for tragedy. I have never been able to get myself to rival him. From some of the post I read if you rival him 100% and disagree with what he did, at the end, it is a real tearful moment. He is mentally tortured. I think the actor is pretty good.

pleasant to me, that your command in general so seriously concerns to a
question of study of each of characters of DA. As for me, it gives to game unique spirit

Anders was really my only romance choice, I want my femhawke with a male character and Fenris is just a douchebag. I didn't download Sebastian, but from what I understand he doesn't like mages either, which is what I prefer playing. I like romancing Ander's though, he's very passionate. ;-)
I liked Sebastian the first 2 times I played the game, but after that his constant goody-goody preaching to everyone, plus his inability to make a firm decision about what he should do, just got to me. I stopped clicking on the chantry board and didn't take him any more.
I've always romanced Anders, never killed him, and never will. I think he was a "very" well written character who won't be forgotten even if he never appears in another game. The controversy that his character has produced here proves his importance in the game, imo. How many other characters got so much time spent discussing him and generated so many varying opinions from the players?
I liked him in Awakening but his role was much more simplistic, and he was portrayed as a happy-go-lucky,nice, but sort of shallow character. I prefer characters in games that make an impact on me instead of ones that are just kind of neutral or along for comic relief.

I think the rivalry scene there is extremely powerful, if tragic. He's just so completely broken. He tried to stop himself/Justice but couldn't, and he's distraught over the destruction his weakness has caused. He actually aknowledges that he turned his friend, Justice, into a demon. Killing him on this path is very much presented as a 'mercy killing', since he doesn't want to suffer the burden anymore. It's tragic and sublime. I did it once, just to see it. (Note: You can also get him to side against the mages with you on this route, as a way to 'make amends', but either way he's just... gone.)

Some players just love to do one thing in a game... kill. For those players killing Anders, and anyone else that's allowed in the game is the highlight of their day. : (
What people seemed to have forgotten is that people have the right to play how they see fit.
I've let Anders live and have been called a terrorist supporter because of it.
When I did that I roleplayed my character as being alone, fed up and agreeing with him. Flemeth also said change was coming. My character just remembered what she said.
I've also killed Anders.
I bet there are plenty of people who let Anders live, they are just too scared to say anything.
There is fault on both sides. You just can't lock mages up fro 1000 years, use them when you need to and then lock them back up again.
And I truly believe the Chantry has alot of hidden secrets and the truth will come out in the next game.
First playthrough, and many playthroughs after that, I let Anders live, not because I feel he deserves a chance, but because the terrorist can make a difference. There have been several playthroughs that I have killed him because it was evident that he was struggling with himself, and it is kinder to execute him.
