Yup! Done it myself more than a few times. I just wish we didn't have to wait until the game is almost over to get Legion. Btw, (just a suggestion) you might want to have a look on the Strategy Forum, this has been talked about quite a bit and you never know, you might find a few tips that you'd never thought of.

Agreed. One of my current playthroughs is with an engineer. 3 explosive combats drone is freaking great...

If you're on pc you can easily mod ME2 to Enable All Recruit Missions
