I'm glad that this is probably server problem, which means the DLCs i bought will work in future, but that's so f-d up.
If they can screw me like this, doesn't it mean I can screw them and pirate the game instead of buying it? At least I'll be able to play it.

Its times like this when all the companies need to go back to basics, and just make everything a reusable CD Key you get when you buy a PC game, and stop relying on all this Internet/Authorization stuff....
It was more simple back then. The only thing that should ever rely on internt etc is Online games period....

If a DRM is actually encouraging people to commit piracy, something is really really wrong.
This!
That someone who just pirated the game can play it without having paid a cent while I can't play and spend my $'s on it is just wrong. And it's Murphy that this happened to be my first weekend off this year and I can't even get some playing time in.

lets get get out the torches and pitch forks
LOL i'm afraid torches and pitchforks are a bad solution since we want our games to work
Joking aside, a one time authentication should be enough since the game + addons are already registered in your bioware account. This would also save money on maintenance in the long run.
Being a fully trained network engineer i know from personal experience how absolutely awful authentication issues can be to solve, so good luck to the tech staff and get working (not fixing = slacking)! Seriously, the issue should have been fixed by now, my employer would have prepared the 'you're fired' speech by now.
And as a sidenote i have to agree about this issue being really bad for publicity, but accidents do happen and nothing can guard against that.

I'm with whiteraider. Not being able to use DLC we've paid for without an internet connection -- or when authentication errors occur -- is supremely annoying and quite harmful to developer-customer relations.
ditto! (what's triple-ditto?) the only thing that was more annoying recently was with the PC version of Bulletstorm - hubby bought it, tried to let me play it on his computer but i had to sign into the Windows Live thing on HIS account since mine didn't "own" the game, and since epic only allowed one (ONE!) save game, if i played at all i would erase his progress. so imho, microsoft + epic = epic fail.
sorry that was a teeny bit OT, but seriously companies, stop screwing actual paying customers!
at least i only had to wait 7-8 hours to play - should i be grateful?

The game can't see my Downloadable Content at all. It isn't "Available, Installing, or Downloaded". Is this the issue everyone else is having?
Recently, I had to partition my harddrive and boot from a new operating system. Even though everything on my computer thinks that it is brand new, Dragon Age has been installed for months, and I was able to successfully start it by rifling through the old hard drive.
Now, my question is: Am I experiencing the same difficulty as everyone else, or is my hardship originating in the new Operating System convincing most of my programs they are from a "different" computer?
Thanks!
