Oh and one more add... Ashley did completed N7 training as well (trained under same instructor as Shepard) but because of her family name she was denied to fully graduate as N7.
Shepard and Ashley went to the same place on different training mission sets: this is natural in the military.
Considering the nature of training they commiserated over (getting kicked in the ass for "goldbricking" by the same Drill Sergeant Nasty), I imagine it was basic that they were talking about.
Yeah, and let's not forget that Ash father despite long term service never reach higher than petty officer (if i recall correct) so Ashley might start N7 training but because of this whole Shanxi blacklisting she was never allowed to move beyond base training when Shepard have free way till very end.
It's possible that this basic training help her to actually survive so long when Eden Prime was overrun by Saren's Geth when rest of her 212 died or was turned in to husks.

There better be a hand to hand fight with Shepard cutscene.
Yeah, just like in epic hollywood movies:wizard:

That's hardly fair. Kai Leng is an assassin. Shepard is a super-soldier with highly enhanced bones, skin and muscle.
That said, I'd like to see that. Very much...

I'm hoping to recruit Kai Leng
Actually, that'd kind of cool. After overpowering him, you get the option to recruit him into your team, or put a bullet in his brain, sort of like Zevran, except hopefully in some kind of epic cutscene.
I'd kill him, but I like having the choice.

Kai Leng vs. Biotic Charge.
That would be epic. Totally unfair--Kai Leng wouldn't stand a chance--but it would be epic.
Seriously, though, unless they do something particularly clever, I'm not seeing a battle with Kai Leng as being more than a battle with a slightly more powerful mook soldier, gameplay-wise. He doesn't have some special biotic hook, like Vasir, and he's no Shadow Broker.
Now, if Kai Leng became a squadmate at some stage, like maybe the Mass Effect answer to the "recruit Loghain" or "recruit Magus" kind of party member deals, THAT would be awesome.

Am I the only one who when thinking of this whole "Cerberus out to kill Shepard" thing gets flashbacks to KotOR when every so often you'd just come across groups of dark Jedi out to stop you, with the odd encounter with a more boss-level minion now and then?
I'm thinking he'll be like a Darth Bandon encounter. Besides people say he won't be on par with Shepard.. but what if he goes through the same augementations as Grayson did, but he's in more control? So augmented speed and strength on-top of his already considerable skills. Will be interesting to see.

My first thought when I read about him was: "Shepard can take him"[/quote
My first thought about Shepard was a mut-monkey with a swelled head.

It would be an interesting fight. I'm thinking it would be somewhere along the lines of the Vasir battle- a hectic, fast paced fight against an enemy the same size as you and around the same skill level.
Indeed.

Yeah, that was pretty much the first thing I thought of when I heard about Cerberus being after Shep. On Kai Leng, he wouldn't stand a chance against Shepard.

He's stupid, he's traitorous, he deserves to die.
I don't remember exactly what info he gave that wasn't Cerberus related. He had to use an outside force to take them down since he couldn't trust anyone in the Alliance. Cerberus is a anti-alien organization and isn't a part of the Alliance so there is little to know real harm down. There was no by the books way he could of kicked the Cerberus spies out of the Alliance. So call it treason if you want but he isn't a triator to the Alliance and what it stands for by getting rid of Cercerus spies.

It could be argued that it didn't count as "military intel" seeing as it wasn't a matter involving actual military intelligence-gathering, and was in fact a decision made to keep said intel away from the military due to the likelihood of spies compromising the military in a much more harmful way, but you have to understand that the people who have to clean up the resulting mess aren't going to see it that way and are going to attempt to twist the law to backhand those responsible for the "problem."
This said, the issue was far too convoluted to jump immediately to "treason" as the judgment. Taking matters into one's own hands can still bring unpleasant repercussions in the military, anyway.

I know; it would be epic. A hand-to-hand fight with Shepard would mean Leng is the winner. Let's face it: Shepard is a super soldier and not an assassin trained for professional killing and fist-heavy combat. Both Thane and Kai Leng would manage to take down Shepard in a purely fist fight, and that's exactly why I think it would be awesome to witness a cutscene with Leng and Thane fighting hand-to-hand at some point in ME3.Blue_2 wrote...

You said it, Fiery. If Thane's gonna die in ME3, then make him as memoarable as possible. I agree comletely with your post BTW

Bah! Kai Leng would just use a super-soaker and be done with it.
Now Samara vs Leng, that would be a legendary fight.
