Haven't read the book but do they describe Lengs appearance?

TIM is called The Illusive Man because he thinks ahead - really far ahead - of everybody else...

now why would TIM send an assassin again? Cerberus rebuilt Shepard with direct supervision from TIM himself none of this "off the hands" type business like with Project Overlord, and Shepard ended up with extra bits and pieces

basically: if TIM ever thought assassination was necessary ever - he would've had them put a bomb in Shepard's skull

which to me either means two things... 1) Kai Leng is from a rogue Cerberus cell, or 2) TIM is a brick

We don't even know why Cerberus is targeting Shepard, like you said maybe it's another cell like the ones who killed Kahoku. This thread isn't confirmation of anything, just a lot of speculation at this point.

I wonder if Kai Leng might kill Anderson to get Shepard and payback from being shot in both legs. If that does happen though I would like to see Shepard snap whether being Paragon or Renegade do something horrible like trap Kai Leng in coffin and sending him into deep space to die.

Kai Leng is mostly Asiatic in appearance, but he has some Slavic ancestry as well, so he doesn't look like a full Asian.

The only tattoo he has is an Ourobouros on the back of his neck, although it is concealed from time to time when he has to work "low profile".

And he's not a rogue agent, he still works for Cerberus and takes his orders directly from the Illusive Man.

Most likely, he has taken Miranda's place as the Illusive Man's right hand person.

The third (dreaded by me) possibility is that TIM is indoctrinated.
Because otherwise, it would not make sense for his character. I can see him assassinating Shepard after the war. But not during.

Apparently he will have an important role in ME3. So maybe there is more to it than just what the rumours say.

Maybe TIM isn't indoctrinated maybe it is Shepard who is or slowly becoming so. TIM might realized this and decide that Shepard need to be killed and use his body to be cloned.

I'm assuming that's consistent exposure, not in bits and pieces.
And having a strong mind, Shepherd would have to be exposed to an Indoctrination field for weeks, not days in order to be taken over.

Shepherd simply hasn't had that level of exposure to indoctrination, they've hardly been near any Reaper technology for that length of time.

TIM isn't indoctrinated, but the recent Evolution series has said he is connected to the Reapers somehow, because he's partially a Reaper Avatar.
Obviously, they can't exert control over him, but he could be using the link to extract information, if it's possible to do that.
He does speak the Reaper language, after all, even though nobody taught it to him.

I did find some information on Garrus' hand-to-hand combat abilities.
A version of his conversation about the female Turian says "they were both the top ranked hand-to-hand specialists on the ship".
I wonder why my version didn't have that line.
He then goes on to say the fight lasts for hours before the ship commander called it a tie.
Anyway, Kai Leng is now assigned quad-kicked status if he ever goes up against Garrus, based on that information.

Your theory is plausible. It only makes sense for Ceberus to kill you if you choose to destroy the base.

And not satisfied with doing that, I told TIM to take all of Cerberus on a hiking trip (using all the Renegade options presented).

I guess I'm not their favorite person at the moment......

But if Cerberus wants to make trouble, bring it!

I have the Shadow Broker's network, the Krogan and the Rachni backing me up, not to mention EDI, the Normandy SR2 and a Reaper gun.

Oh look, they're reconsidering picking a fight......

But seriously, I expect Cerberus will still try to give you missions and stuff, but there won't be a whole lot of trust between the two sides if you spat acid into their face.

Yep... BUT there is a hook which could lead to his end from her "hands".

Morinth is mass Effect Poison Ivi which use combination of telephatic abilites to seduce her victim untill s/he become absolutely unable to defend itself against Morinth overwhelming mind.

So far she meet only one single person able to resist her influence aka Shepard Commander:ph34r:, but to be honest our Shep is not an ordinary human after all (especialy not after Lazarus) but would Leng be able to resist her?

Doubtful...  unless he got special training how to resist such mind influence so i think Morinth would dealt with him rather fast...
