So not to derail this already derailed thread any further, I'll just say sorry. My bad.Hirakata Jen wrote...

Dude, calm down. It was a joke. Unless I am missing your sarcasm. In that case, hey, let's go have a drink together. If anything, I was attempting to put a little perspetive forward for all of those who were crying "I PAID FOR THIS GAME IT'S SO UNFAIR WAH WAH WAH".PeterSamuelGreen wrote...
FuzzyBee,
You're absolutely right. Tsunamis & meltdowns in Japan are far worse than being prohibited from playing a lawfully purchased video game on my own free time. I couldn't agree more. And, as you'll see by tuning into any of the crybaby liberals bemoaning that fact in the newsmedia, the rest of the world agrees with you too. That's why I posted my complaint in one of many hundreds of threads on a little known forum for a little known company. And that's why I'm just asking this specific company to fix it's problem...not The Red Cross or any number of benevolent charity organizations...not my state or federal government...nor do I plan on calling the local news affiliate to decry the injustice of it all. I am asking a privately owned company to repair a glitch begotten of their own ineptitude. If that's a disproportionate response, then what's proportional?...Sending Bioware/EA game engineers free tickets to Disneyworld since they were "understanding" on the phone?
Think about it, dude.
Whether it was a joke or not, it's too soon. Living in Japan is still hard for the hundreds of thousand of people still affected, and there was another mag 7 quake on Thursday evening. People here are worried about their loved ones and their livelyhoods. Even thousands of kilometers from the plant (like where I am) peoplea re worried about radiation from the plants. DAO is what I do when I don't want to think about the disaster.
Your statement might have been in jest, but it still is too soon.

Hell, if they do this more than 2 more times, I'll end up being able ta get all the dlc w/o having ta drop 1 red cent out of my own pocket.

But tomorrow isn't the day I had set aside to play DA:O all day while my kids play other video games! BioWare stole my gaming day, dammit, and I want it back! No, I will not be rational!RedundantCookie wrote...
Ok. I think the issues is that whomever could fix those servers doesn't work weekends. I bet things should be fixed tomorrow Monday.

When life gives you lemons, you make margaritas! For your sake, I hope it happens again. But if it does, I will be telling everyone that it's all your fault and giving your address to whoever asks for it. On a completely unrelated note, where do you live?TheRunemage wrote...

I think second option is more possible. That's one of reasons I do not work in tech support anymoreabandonedharpy wrote...
Actually, I suggest that everyone following this forum talk to EA support and try to get the coupon! Maybe they'll learn a lesson! Or they'll end up hating us even more and finding other new and cruel ways to punish us for being obsessed.

Yeah, but at my job if something breaks over the weekend I have to still fix it even though I don't work on the weekend. This is affecting their customers they shouldn't just say well it's the weekend we will till Monday when Bob comes in to fix it.

I know Fuzzy, I know... I came up with unorthodox excuses to avoid my RL social life in order to stay home this weekend and play too, and Monday is just there, our leisure time is over. Everything was stolen from us! I know how you feel. Now repeat after me, "Goosefraba"... Yes, let it out...
Here is your cookie, you've earned it! *Hands over a cookie*

Wish it did...
Apparently different versions work differently for people. As said earlier, I purchased the UE package 3 weeks ago... It has NEVER allowed me to play the DLC or Premium content while being logged out, not after authorization, not after three days...NEVER. Only basic vanilla and Awakenings.
I'm not yellin' at you, by the way...just into the air at the DRM Demons at BioWare/EA ...

It's 7pm (EST), Monday is around next corner... my dreams for this weekend were shattered. And I'll never know what happened between the love triangle to which my Dwarfie Noble was the center. <Sigh>
But here; a cookie for you with sprinkled optimism!

You want to know what I did this weekend? I went to the Home and Garden show. Sadly, I am being completely serious. That is what I did instead of playing DA. A friend called up, bribed me with some free lunch and took me to the Home and Garden show. I did, however, enter a draw to win a $10,000 hot tub. So, maybe it will all be worth it and I'll be thaning BioWare later. If that happens, you are welcome to come have margaritas and sit in my hot tub.abandonedharpy wrote...
Soooo... I decided on Bioware Points... Whats everyone doing to fill up their time this weekend?

Oh I agree... I agree. My anger has subsided from the anger of an angry goddess on PMS to maddening resignation. - Oh, and thanks to whomever suggested the use of the coupon on Bioware Points to get more DLC that may become faulty eventually - I have no doubt that now I'm suffering battered wife syndrome.

I wouldn't think so, someone I know works for a company similar to this doing that sort of job, and he's on call 24/7, But it might be a reeeeaaaallllllyyyyy big problem, and then it could simply take days to fix.

Oh & I don't use the fake garbage SCA uses. all my blades are real w/ battle edges.
