Just did... and for a moment my eyes glistened with hope. But no, still not working.

One way to think about it is to make yourself think you're 6 and it's Christmas time: All you have to do is go to bed, and wake up the next day with the gift of a funcional game for which you paid for. - And of course most of us will have to go to work, and then just wait to get back home to maybe play 1 or 2 hours, but hey, something's something.

I gave up on most MMOs after I quit WoW.  I dabbled in Aion for a while and, while I love that game!, I just don't have the time to devote to any type of MMO end gaming.  My oldest kid still plays Aion so I have a character on her account.  I am going to play Old Republic, though.  I mean, it's Star Wars.  I know, I know, Galaxies, right?  But no.  Just no.  It won't happen that way.

My God! After seeing how Bioware act when their authentication servers go down, you still want to buy Old Republic? Don't do it man! Don't do it! XD Can't you just imagine it? The day your realm goes down and you're unable to play for 6 weeks? Can't wait to see the forums on THAT day, XD.

I gave up on most MMOs after I quit WoW.  I dabbled in Aion for a while and, while I love that game!, I just don't have the time to devote to any type of MMO end gaming.  My oldest kid still plays Aion so I have a character on her account.  I am going to play Old Republic, though.  I mean, it's Star Wars.  I know, I know, Galaxies, right?  But no.  Just no.  It won't happen that way.

Oh... Hmm... I know, but, I'm not sure Bioware is completely in charge of that game. Check some previous around... I've heard it doesn't look as good as we hope.

Your DLC will be listed as unauthorized and you won't be able to use them (and if you have a save file with DLC stuff in your inventory, you won't be able to load the save). Now, logging off and restarting the game at that point might fix it, it might not, seemingly depending on what version of the game you have, but it's not worth the risk.

Many people who have the DLC are not able to access it.  Your characters and equipment from any of the DLC will be unavailable.

2whippets that 100% worked for us as well.. if only I had read this 2 days ago it would have saved me cursing EA and wishing ill their loved ones =)

All we did was open Network Connections and disabled my connection to the network, as to not take the entire modem offline and get cursed by others I live with (hehe) logged into the game and loaded my save file and then once in reconnected my connection.

Seems like a lot of work to play a single player game, thats more like the hoops I jump through when I'm playing WoW but whatever works ty for having this thread, I hope more read it and get back to playing!

I was playing Darkspaw Chronicles and Leliana's Song yesterday while the servers where presumably "down" but somehow my achievements magically appeared in my BioWare profile, so I would assume those gotten while offline with transfer. I was worried because while playing Darkspawn, my game didn't even recognize that the Darkspawn achievements existed, but they came back after I reinstalled and had granted me the ones I'd earned, despite their lack of existance an hour earlier.

No. It'll attempt to authorize everytime you login, so as soon as the servers are up and running, and you login, it should reauthorize, as long as your BW/EA account says you should have it.

That's what I'm planing to do.

I'm surprised that I never figured this out. I always assumed that you had to be logged in to use the DLC.
