**THE GREAT OUTAGE OF 2011** (or, "why is my DLC is STILL not working, just like it wasn't all weekend long?!")

I tried to reload an earlier save from OC and again he becomes the naked Templar Mage out to destroy the Archdemon with the righteous might of his Ethereal Codpiece...sounds like a cheesy superhero intro.
A mild mannered Arcane Warror/Blood Mage, but load the game and he becomes, NAKED TEMPLAR MAN! Blinding evil with the blazing zeal of his magical undergarments! ...huzzah
So while I did get to play DA:O this weekend I cant continue onto the other modules, or back to the OC either it seems.

I bought Dragon Age II with the discount, but I'll play it only after Awakening and the DLCs. So don't let me down EA.

It'd be really nice for someone at EA/Bioware to have the coutesy to just make a single post in a new stickied thread that doesn't allow replies just saying "Yep, sorry for the inconvenience, we're working on it now".

Where are people getting the live chat logs that I've been seeing? The only way I've seen in ways of support has been an email inquiry. It would be nice to talk to a live person about this. If anyone knows, could you post the link?
you need to go to EA's website then support then contact us

Yeah, imagine that, Bioware. You screw up royally, remain stoically silent about it and your customers hesitate at FREE STUFF! Some moderator get on the forum, already!!!

Allthough, most of us here in the forum seldom use the words EA and support in the same sentence.
And when we do, the word support is used as sarcasm.
rofl, just got an rply from "support", you know.. "please change the RequiresAuthorization="1" to 0 in AddIns.xml.. bla bla"
-sigh

No way am I buying a new computer to play DA 2 when DAO doesn't even work. Reputation is everything. It is the whole reason why companies like Blizzard can produce one game every few years and still be the #1 developer in the gaming industry. Right now Bioware/EA is crapping all over their rep. If DAO is any indicator of how they support their flawed DRM 1.5 years out from release, why waste any money on their new material, especially the DLC.
& also with forum moderators that don't even respond in threads, makes me want to pitch the crap I've got of theirs out the window & cut my losses.

However, when I try to load a previous saved game from the main quest while logged in, and you'll be told that the owner of the DLC needs to log in in order to load the game. You can, however load the game if you play offline. Just untick the box that auto-logs you in, exit, and restart. It worked for me, and all my stuff is still in tact.
Here's to hoping the fix the bigger problem, though.

You don't even need to exit. Just log in, then immediately log out. You can now continue your saved game.
