Did anyone see the reports on Joystiq about the Hacker attacks on Sony and the PSN? I now have to wonder if there is a possible link.
BTW: contacted Joystiq and "tipped" IGN.
For now, I'm going to avoid contacting Kotaku because recieving too many tips at once may make them suspicious of whether they're being jerked around or not.

Also, Kotaku just replied to me. Maybe they'll do something on it.

A favorable reply, I hope? :)

They were asking if the servers were still down.

And then he asked if we were hiring, while we're telling everyone about our email conversations.

DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNN

Which is why the best thing with the first Mass Effect is no EA near it...

Seriously: Ever since EA has gotten BioWare it's been nothing but abysmal customer service from BioWare

Nothing but abysmal customer service? You're forgetting the dumbed-down, simplified games as well. Inventory customization in Mass Effect? No, we don't need any of that, just make it a shooter with RPG-lite elements.

True but despite them dumping the RPG goodness of ME1 the ME2 game was good. I didn't find it dumbed down. I felt they took the RPG elements and tossed them out the airlock.

But I doubt this fiasco with the DLC and authentication servers would of happened if BioWare had kept away from EA.

BioWare should take a hard look at Blizzard and Activision and see how Blizzard keeps their own things separate from Activision in terms of support and control.

Fair point, yes. We've yet to be able to get any real comments out of EA, although you might be able to do something with the fancy press credentials and contacts and whatnot.

It appears that "Evil Chris", who is the official Bioware rep on these forums, is off this week.  I am awaiting a reply from someone else now.

Wow, so they pretty much left the
support forum for the users to help each other? Not even a peek on the
hot topics. Sure wish they'll take a look now.

Actually, it's been like this for a long while.  And look at the DA2 PC Tech forum... it's clearly labelled "Self-help".  Officialy support is at support.ea.com.  The good news is that it's staffed around the clock.  The bad news is that (like most tech support, to be fair) the quality of response depends greatly on who you happen to talk to.

Maybe we should find the craziest, most angry people we can find and convince them to try and get a job at ea, then watch as the company gets set on fire by its own crazy employees.... Muahahhaahhhhaahahha.... :P Or not...

Working for EA is a great job.  Clearly the hours are Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Well, that sounds like too much effort for an issue like present one. BUT...

Ahhh! I'm running out of patience. It's not about playing anymore, it's about the solution for this! It's starting to feel like staring at a painting frame leaning 14 degrees off, and you can't just standup and fix it into place. It's driving me insane!

Raen, do you know if by "Reporting" my own post, or flagging it, it should get anyone's attention? Or just get me in trouble.

I'd advise against it.  You've done your part by posting politely here and elsewhere, alerting outside news/information sides, and being an all around good sport.  ;)

Other than putting a ticket in just for the sake of putting one in, there isn't really much we can do.

Yeah... I wouldn't advise it either, Cookie. Though that IS the way to get attention on Blizzard forums, I don't know if BioWare people would view it the same way as they do at Blizzard.

A few of us have done about all we can do in the nice way... Now it's a matter of seeing if my wallet is going to stay or stray.

Thank you Raen! I will just put my Patient Good Sport hat again! :wizard:

ME2 DLC is, in fact, working. This server outage only appears to effect DA:O.

They still haven't fixed this?! Really? They're just ignoring people who wants to play their own games?
