That's what Bioware and EA do. :)

Was gonna sell all my Bioware games, but I think I'll just throw them in the trash. Wouldn't be polite to expose others to this horse****.

2 months ago Mass Effect 3 was my most anticipated game of the year, now I vow to never buy another Bioware game.

Just had a live chat with EA Support and what did they tell me:

"I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. This is a temporary issue and our engineers are already aware of this.

They are working to resolve this as soon as possible. I would advise you to please wait for some time and then try again to

login and play the game online. If the issue persists, you can contact us again. We will be happy to assist you.

We have reported this to our developers and they are investigating it.

It might take around 24-48 hours for it to get fixed."

The exact same message I got 2 days ago. Now either that is a coincidence and it will really be 1 or 2 days till this gets fixed or they haven't even updated the Support guys with new info and they'll spam this 24-48 hours every time I ask.

I'll keep on contacting EA Support daily about this till it gets fixed or I get sent to the old peoples home (whichever comes first).

I just ordered DA:O for the Xbox, with Awakening and all current DLC included in it...for 22 bucks. This should fix all lag and dlc issues for my PC.

EA shouldn't do PC games. They don't have a clue how to make a PC game that works for everybody like it should.

Well at least I've still got good ol' 3.5 D&D to keep me occupied today. Otherwise I'd probably get bored and email/call support just for kicks at this point.

Edit: And towards the person above me, the Battlefield series is one of the best shooter series I have ever played, plus need for speed is fun off and on, so they know how to make pc games (plus the sims).
I think they just need to put down the gun and not worry so much about their money and just focus on the games and making them better than they have been lately.

This is seriously unacceptable. Being unable to play a SINGLE PLAYER RPG because of some SERVER issue on their side, for several days? That's just absurd. They should have had this fixed on Saturday. They're obviously not aiming for customer retention.

You already paid for the game, did you not? Why would they care if you can play it or not?

The sensible, although just as uninformed response is that they're "apparently working hard to fix the problem". Keyword being "apparently" because they haven't seen fit to inform us about anything, not even officially acknowledging the problem. Welcome to the magical world of non-existent public relations. I take it this is your first experience with BioWare? edit: Oh, and EA as well, of course. Can't forget the "big bad corporation"'s role in this drama.

(Please don't ban me from playing your games for that ironic little twist. You've done a stand up job on that already.)

Doesn't work for me, and the guy I just talked with didn't have any new info :/
Just the standard quote: "Our engineers are working on it." Seriously if they truly are working on the problem (which I by now highly doubt) a trained monkey would be able to fix it faster then these guys.

Well I guess there is only one solution for future games, pirate everything because then you know you can play it. And when they stop making PC games because no one buys them anymore go console or find some other kind of entertainment.

Highlor3, buy two games from your by now most favourite company!

I just recently re-installed this game this weekend, and cos I originally got a pre-order version that included The Stone Prisoner (with a redemption code) I cannot manually download The Stone Prisoner dlc, and thus cannot access this part of the game, even offline.
I was able to manually download all the additional dlcs I purchased individually, but without The Stone Prisoner I cannot even reliably load up my old saves of previous playthroughs (at least, not without items disappearing, Shale's model screwing up, etc).
I originally deleted all the dlc from my hard-drive when I uninstalled DA:O last year cos it was eating up my then tiny hard-drive ...
and then I try THIS weekend of all times to re-install it all, don't I? Bloody bad timing on my part, eh? ¬_¬

That's nice. It should have come much earlier, however.

I feel kind of bad for the people that re-installed the game and DLC. I agree - the response from Bioware should have come sooner.

I reinstalled a week ago...all was fine...Then I made a new character and it went to crap while playing that one. Suddenly the dlc was gone etc....I didn't realise and saved it without the dlc and so I probably will have to restart that character if I want that dlc...I dunno. It's just terrible. I was just happy that the memory leak problem was partially fixed so it's playable for me now...then this happens. As I said earlier, I will go to the Xbox version and forget about the PC version as soon as I can.

Well I reinstalled and now I cannot see any DLC at all. None at all. Is this what some others are seeing or is it a new issue for me?
