Cookie! Did they send you the code Via e-mail, or in your chat or did it just show up as points at the EA site? Also - I spoke with someone at EA also and they were unable to give me any sort of timeframe. sigh.

I have them... And Sims as well. And I don't think I'd like any other game other than RPGs...

I would like to retroactively apply it to Dragon Age UE (which I haven't been able to play YET because of this issue). I feel like a patient of Stockholm syndrome by buying anything else from them while this issue is still there...

LOL. I actually had to remind him of the coupon he mentioned. Me: So, how will I be receiving this coupon code, and when can I redeem it.

i didnt mean a real 2% i was just saying a small % anyway how come your doesn't work if u didnt mess up with the game and u play off line... perhaps u got it on Steam and there is something else going on a double check on line... i am not sure as STEAM player dont put a code in when they buy it.

then i guess it would be a 2%+all steam player eheheh

anyways i give till monday night as it's a full working day then i will start getting seriously ****** and move accordingly i can't get mad on them not working on a nice sunny weekend of spring...

I know it's not sunny everywhere in the world right now so i feel sorry for who is having a rainy weekend


I am pretty sure it's because i am italian and in italy thing NEVER get fix right away (and we pay anyway) so i have my tolerance way higher then other people

That situation also raises a question about playing the game in future. What if I'd like to play DA 5 years later? Will I be able to do this or servers will already be shut down due to game being old?

I'm still playing Planescape Torment which is 10 years old and it's great. Will I be able to do this with DA?

Just another person with the same problem.
Friday night i was unable to play DA.

I wasn't aware at the time that the problem was the DA server, so i tried these fixes:

With the first one, replace the '1' for a '0' sort of worked, i could load my save but my bonus/premium items where missing, i was naked en missing my bow....

The second one, included deleting some files, start the DAUpdaterSvc was worse.... ALL my DLC where missing, they weren't even in the "available conten't" tab......

So i put all the files back, thankfully my DLC's where back in my list, but still unauthorized.

Logging out didn't work for me, dlc was still unauthorized.

Funny thing, i played on friday, almost the entire afternoon, without problems, and then suddenly....... well you know what happened.

I was busy with an optimal playthrough for importing in DA2... guess we'll have to wait.

I only hope i haven't messed up the files with these so called "fixes" so i can normally play when this issue is resolved.....

I've thought of the exact same thing. If this is DRM automatically switching off content due to not seeing the servers, that'll mean that if EA decide in 5/10 years time "Hmm... this server is a little dusty, let's sell it!" then this DRM will kick in all the time and never again will we be able to play DLC.

I actually bought the game through Impulse. As far as I can tell it works the same as the DVD version which I used to own before purchasing the Ultimate Edition from them. I'm surprised other people are able to play offline at this point!

Ultimate Edition and Digital purchases are the most crippled by this problem, whether or not they tried to fiddle with anything, Ngoctu...

Great for you if you bought a boxed basic set and didn't buy any DLC. Those of us that did are, to not put too fine a point on it, screwed now, and in the future if they decide they want to shut down the server that tells our computers we're allowed to play that content.

On a sadder note, I just completed the Awakenings campaign without the DLC/Premium content...again... ~sighs~

I can log out and play, but my concern is that I'm trying to get the Reaver achievement. If I do that while logged out will the game still unlock the class for me?

I really don't like the idea of changing any game files to make it work. Honestly I shouldn't have to and I'm afraid of problems that may cause later on. I just wish EA/BW would fix it and send us a patch so that we never have to log in to use DLC's again.

All i know is I am pretty annoyed I don't get much time to play games very often nowadays and now I have time but the game I want to play wont work and all the content I just bought 2 weeks ago has been enabled, very very angry at this moment with my luck they will fix it tomorrow because I wont be able to play it then...

Isn't just because it's downloaded content. Purchased hard copy from best buy and i can't play any of the additional content found with the ultimate version because servers are down. You'd think that if i bought a hard copy friday, i wouldn't be typing this 2 days later because ea/bioware can't pull their heads out of their rear ends. Sad thing to happen whit a stand alone game.

UE is working great on my wife's PC since she installed the game, authenticated everything, then logged off before Friday hit. I installed, then logged in to authenticate Saturday morning and no-go. The changing 1's to 0's is working okay, but I am missing all kinds of crap like the Blood Dragon armor and Warden's Keep, as well as the little village where you find Shale.

Mayhap I can try copying her files over to my PC... worth a shot. My PS3 version works perfectly, no problems there either.

I have the same problem, I recently purchased Golems and Witch Hunt and the problem started for me just after I installed them. Good to see I'm not the only one with this problem at least, I was beginning to think I had done something wrong during installation. (But it still sucks.)

I could play Awakening with a new Warden, but I don't want to. I want to use my Warden from Origins with Duncan & Maric's darkspawn killing swords (dragonbone, with silverite runes).

Hurry up, EA/BW!

Use Topsider's and Keening blade instead. :3 Though, you'll be replacing one of them with Dumat's spine rather quickly.

Interesting... I got it all installed and authorized 3 weeks ago... I was playing logged in becuse not once since I purchased it have I been able to access Preimium or DLC content without being logged in. It would warn me every time I tried that I had to be logged in to an account that is authorized to use it. I'd log in and no problems. Log out again? Same error.

Topsider's and Keening blade aren't in my inventory, Leliana and Alistair are equipped with them . I must replay the ending to retrieve my goods. But how I'm gonna do it, EA/BW?!

I will start a new playthrough in Mass Effect 1 (my first femshep) while EA/BW don't fix the issue.

EA/BW, you are not my favorite publisher/developer in the Citadel anymore!

Just copied all her Bioware/Dragon Age files over from the My Documents folder and overwrote my own and I am good to go. As far as I know you only have to validate your stuff once then just log out after that. At least that is what most others have been saying and that is what we are doing right now.
