Noticed something funny in the quest Solving Problems, that you do for "Certain Interested Parties". In the quest you collect bodies from deals gone bad and dump the bodies in a well!.

When you interact with the well it says that it's just as good a place as any to dump the bodies, just another piece of trash flowing out of the city. A well does NOT connect to the sewer system. That would defeat the purpose of a well which is to provide clean drinking water. I think bioware needs to read up on medieval plumbing.

The funniest part of course is that dumping dead bodies in wells was actually an early form of biological warfare. It was very effective because people drank water from just a few wells. It would take a while for disease and infection to set in during which time hundreds, maybe thousands had drunk the water. Even after the source had been discovered people would still be at risk, as disease would spread from person to person.

Bottom line, i guess, is if you did that quest you have probably killed hundreds of innocent people :) I would say it's one of the most evil acts in the game, as it kills a lot of innocent people and has no motive, you just poisoned them because you felt like it. Hope you weren't playing a good character ;)

I was scratching my head at that one too. Though generally, I don't accept that quest when I'm playing as a good character: the whole favours for interested parties quest line just seems too sketchy.

I don't think they were drinking water back in that time period.

Well, it's true that the last 2000 years of our history have happened in a drunken stupor. The word alcoholic didn't exist and people drank tremendous amounts of alcohol every day. It's a little hard to get by without water though :)
