Oh so this isn't me? The problem is with EA not having something running properly which is why I only have my Mods working and all the DLC say unauthorized?

Well thank the maker here I thought I screwed something by adding more mods...

EDIT: Shut down the game and restarted, all my DLC popped up in game

I thought the same thing as right before I loaded up the game to find the problem I deleted a ton of mods I hadn't used since my first save.

DADM servers are working for me but still getting "unauthorized" error:

Here is a snippet from my log.  My favorite part is where it theorizes that I have no internet connection.  Which means my ability to post here must be some form of magic:

Losing legitimacy when the company servers go down is the one big disadvantage of online anti-piracy measures. With revenue streams increasingly dependent on DLC, game publishers must react instantly to server issues that prevent legitimate owners from playing their game or using their DLC.

I was playing DAO quite happily last night. Broke off to make a cup of tea. Re-launched the game to find that I was logged out. Logged back in only to find none of my DLC authorized. Loaded the latest version of EA Manager. No change. Gave up. Retried this morning. Still no joy. This really isn't good enough. I spent £60 on this game and its DLC. Bioware should be beating EA with a big stick over this.

No announcement of this issue on their site is also unforgivable. Players could end up totally screwing their games trying to fix an issue which has nothing to do with them.

Unplug the internet connection (by disabling the network card or turning off wireless) and start the game. In offline mode the saves load and everything is enabled. You just can't start any new DLC campaigns and new characters won't have DLC enabled.

Getting the Unauthorized thing since 2010, contacted Bioware several times with no response. Then someone figured out that if you rename Profile.dap in Documents/BioWare/Dragon Age/Settings and start the game the game will create new Profile.dap which isnt damaged and all your DLCs will be working ... so thats how iam doin it, renaming and renaming PRofile.dap twice a week like idiot since seems like they are not cappable to fix it. This is seriously fúcked up company with next to no support to customers.
Cheers.

The *REAL* solution is to downloaded a cracked version of this game for free.

Balls to EA.

It would be really lovely to have an official comment as a sticky on these boards like

"Hi! Our auhorization servers are completely borked right now, so your DLC might appear as unauthorized. Might take us some days to sort this out. Sorry about that!"

so people wouldn't spend the weekend re-installing, editing game files, abusing phone/mail support staff (and advocate piracy)...

Possible workarounds as long as this problem persists:

Log out and/or disconnect yor machine from the internet. DLC should now be enabled and the "authorization required" tag should be gone. (Doesn't seem to work with Ultimate Ed.)
more here: For a possible solution to the "Unauthorized DLC" problem of April 2011, see here

OR

Edit "Addins.xml" as described elsewhere. (No guarantee your game will not be dead or your computer explode afterwards if you make a mistake)

Well my CD Key is registered okay. I can play offline, but then all my "Premium Content" quests disappear within the game. I agree with Marvin_Arnold about the lack of information being totally unacceptable. Problems happen, especially where computers are concerned, we all know that. But lack of information or an apology is totally unacceptable. That's worse than the problem itself and totally discredits EA & Bioware.

Support ticket:

BTW
Product: Dragon Age II > No Expansion
Category: Technical Support > Installation / Updates / Downloads

That is stated on the top of the site is wrong.

It's
Product: Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition.
Category: Lame Devteam > Fckd up DRM/Ignorant support/Authorization server down.

Still no reply, wonder why..

Oh, and Damien from support suggested that we reinstalled the game... ROFL!
-Will that help your Authorization server?

Blizzard does it all the time.  Some people still complain, but most of the people I played with appreciated and respected simple public acknowledgement of problems.

Of course, Blizzard also fixed problems every time.  So when they issued a public statement, we believed them.  So if EA issued statements, they'd have to follow through lest customers stop believing.

I still think this particular issue will get fixed quickly.  Quickly by comparison to all the things they took 3 months to fix or never fixed in the past.

In the meantime PC owners just log out and uncheck the automatic login box.  Console users play something else for a week or two.  Doesn't make it right, but in comparison to being denied urgent surgery or a paycheck to pay bills this is a minor issue in life.

Whaddaya mean, minor issue! I have (for the fourth time) to stop a demonic invasion that might kill hundreds of thousands of people! This is important! This is all the life I have!!

Does anyone know if this is fixed yet?

I was soooo looking forward to my Saturday night with DA:O, a 4-pack of beer, big bag of Doritos and a tub of sour cream and chive dip... I bought all the above, beer and dip in fridge, time ticked by till 7pm when my window of opportunity opened and.. TADA.. launch DA:O to settle into a nice little "hobby night" only to be abruptly interrupted by this "Unathorised DLC error message" *facepalm*

So, instead of enjoying my evening, I spent most of the night googling for fixes and trying all sorts of crap. I eventually found that switching off my wifi got my most recent save to load up and (I think) my DLC was present.. I was currently just starting Return to Ostagar, so I think the switching off wifi worked. The only problem was that by the time I found this out, I had finished my beer, scoffed my Doritos and dip and it was time for bed at 00:45.

It's a very sorry state of affairs we're in when we are restricted from using game content we have paid for, while people pirating the games have no trouble with any of this. Why are we made to jump through these hoops? EA, here is a little bit of advice for you: ALL games will be pirated eventually no matter what stupid protection methods you use, all they really serve to accomplish is to ****** off your paying customers. Sort it out ffs
