Playing Misery Stone just now (instead of working on Trinity's new version). I went into a mine and found the Miner's Helm. I thought it was the coolest thing... until I took it off. The light VFX keeps on shining from my forehead even with the helmet off.

Anyone was able to get rid of it?

I took a look at the tag-based scripts for the Miner's Helm: i_ms_minershelm_eq (OnEquip) and i_ms_minershelm_ue (OnUnequip). The OnUnequip uses the RemoveSEFFromObject function rather than doing a loop to find the Effect, or setting the effect ID and then retrieving it when you need to remove it.

I don't have much experience with RemoveSEFFromObject to tell you how well it works. However, these scripts were both written by Sunjammer in Aug 2009 (signing your work is helpful! :)) and he is certainly authoritative...

It is possible that you may have put too many of the effects on yourself by saving then reloading the game. Sometimes that duplicates effect. It happened to me. I have successuflly used RemoveSEFFFromObject() and not had any bug reports.

Probably could just write a simple script to remove all effects from an object, stick it in your override, then use the console to run the script on yourself in-game.

It vanished by itself after a while when that happened to me.

I played it twice and only got that bug the first time. I also believe it disappeared eventually, but I can't remember for certain.

Yes, you were right. It disappeared. After I transitioned to and from the OM (seems the OM effect stripping might have done the job). Thanks for the tips.

What's with the four chests towards the end? Anyone have any hints?

*SPOILERS*

There are 4 objects you can find in that area (in both rooms). Some of them can be hard to find, search for blood stains on the floor and that kind of things. You have to figure out which one of these objects go inside each chest.

*MORE SPOILERS*

I may be mistaken because I haven't played recently, but I believe they were: a dagger, a candelabra, a rope, and...poison?

*END SPOILERS*

P.S: Non related: I've sent you an e-mail about your packhorse at the Vault, if you can check it out when you have time.

Thanks. Found the items. Thought I put them in right order, but door doesn't open. I just ended using a debug tool to unlock the door.

I don't know, it always opened for me, maybe you didn't put them in the right order. But well, what you did is hardly a cheat

The chest thing was a known bug, at least on release.

Just finished MS this morning. That was some good, gorgeous fun. Now what to play next...? :)
