For me at least it is very useful. I used only keyboard in DAO and I don't like the mouse pointer+wheel.

Maybe this is old news for some, but I have discovered that you can make your conversation options using the keyboard instead of the mouse, as was the case in DAO. The number keys correspond to the six clockwise positions counting from 12 o'clock, so they are like this:

Yeah, I wish they made this more visible and put the numbers on the screen like TOR seems to do:
