You know the pirated copy of the DLC doesn't have any of these problems. This is pathetic.
This is the takeaway lesson from this, I feel: Pirates will treat you better than EA/Bioware. I wish I had realized this before paying out $65.
I also wanted to chime in that I've been having the disappearing Warden's Keep (and related items) issue. This has happened to me twice during my current campaign, and I've had to backtrack a little over an hour each time. I have not had the Shale-centered issues, however.

My problem is that I paid for Warden's Keep and will experience 0% of it unless this is fixed or I start a new character. Guess I should have done it the day I bought it.
Same for me: i've spent 560 points for Wardens Keep but i have no content installed and if i try to re-installing it ask 560 points again!
I want a fix or my money back!

Good point , maybe we should ask elsewere , over a week now and no respons from EA ... BioWare has answered some posts at least and said they are working on it ...
Is it illigal to use the pirated DLC when we own em ? :innocent:
Everyone who bought WK/shale and had problems wich basicly wasted 20 hours+ playing after corrupt save game should at least get next DLC free imo , doubt there will come a fix for old save games really..
Or maybe best not install new DLC's anymore

Specifically, TallBearNC explains how to access the developer's console so you can return to zones in the game. I can confirm that I was able to repair Soldier's Peak to its finished state (so I lost a couple of the low level items I had won when playing through it normally - at least the area is on my map again now). You could even repeat the DLC entirely, but I chose not to because I didn't want to skew experience levels.
Will be watching very carefully for any connection issues in future (lol, in an offline game - gg Bioware, treating us like criminals).
Edit: I spoke too soon. I could not repeat the DLC; the quest was marked as complete. So I can carry on without the Winter's Breath staff, which was unfortunately in my backpack at the time of Bioware's epic DLC-item-hax-fail, or I can do the FADE all over again. Which BTW, inventive as it was, was also tedious and not an experience I ever wish to repeat. I would be more careful about spoilers, but thanks to this problem I have been exposed to them whilst looking for solutions, further ruining my enjoyment of the game and dampening my wish to continue.
Thanks Bioware!

Doesn't work for me though

Wardens Keep here. Levi, the dude in the camp has vanished so I cant do his quest. His cart is there but not him!
Same for me. The quest log says to go to camp to talk to him but he is not there. I remember talking to him and accepting the quest two other times before, which makes me think he must have disappeared on me before (I didn't think much of it at the time, though). I never journeyed to the keep itself, but I do remember it being on my map at one point.
I tried reinstalling the DLC but to no avail. I've double-checked that I am logged in and that the DLC is active for my account. I am playing the PC version on Windows XP, if that helps anyone figure this out. I guess I'm lucky, at least, that nothing else has broken for me but this.

DRM only encumbers the real customers, never the pirate. DRM is nearly worthless on our current platforms.
Anyways.... Same problem. DLC appears to have bugged on the majority of saved games. Manual saves are fine in this case but quick saves and autosaves are toasted. Too bad I didn't manually save on this character quite a bit like my previous character. Stuck in the mage tower with most of my equipment gone is good times. Looking at the main map, Warden's keep is gone as well.

I tried to start a game too soon, before I was "logged in" after booting up the game and it gave me an error about not being logged into the Dragon Age servers and my DLC wouldn't work. I think it was the first time I did that and that's when Shale glitched on me and the town where you find him "reappeared" on the map all glittery like it was an unvisited site.
Bioware, please tell me there's some progress getting made with this. I ain't mad.. just a little frustrated and I miss talking to Shale.

You all can use the in game debugging commands to get items back and to fix a lot of things. Sometimes they help. Sometimes they don't:

Thanks TallBear, this worked for me. I was able to go complete the keep, and after completion the marker is now on my map.

I emailed EA tech support with screen shots, lots details and was told "Your question has been received. You should expect a response from us within 24 hours."
Been 12 days now and In that time I started a new game and finished it, EA at it's best, I hate what they do to the games industry and out of principle I should avoid everything that has their "taint" but that wouldn't leave me with many games to play.

Game breaking bugs = you get no money from me.
Dang, and I really wanted to play it.
next time put out a stable product, or do you want biowares name to become synonymous with steam and l4d type bugs and crashes?
I expected more after playing Bioshock, which was fantastic.

Quoted for truth, and annoyance.
I may or may not know someone who may or may not have 'trialled' DA:O before purchasing. "They" liked it so much and appreciated all the effort of this and Mass Effect that they purchased it in order to reward the developers.
They then heard about EA firing half it's staff, nice move.
They then played through Wardens Keep and got all the OP gear and thought, very nice.
They then accidently saved several times while the DLC content was 'unauthorized', and lost it all.
And now would either have to replay hours of the game in order to replace lost equipment or figure out a way to cheat them back in.
Frankly, I'm disgusted.
Bioware: release a patch to repair saves or "they" will never purchase from you again.

reinstalling a clean copy with your old saves/characters from the documents sections did work.
Free bump of support, a sump.

Bioware stated early on, they have reproduced the problem. So, I'm hoping they will have a patch soon.
