And Loghain. I think we need Loghain back because of this whole deal with Orlais; and since the former general is IN Orlais right now...I'm sure the man is having a field day knifing people.

I personally would go with a hurlock. They're easier to pass off as human and avoid notice in Thedas. If a talking darkspawn were to go running around in Thedas he'd have to make himself look unnoticable. I'm thinking human-sized hurloc dressed up in rags and looking like he's got some kinda sickness - maybe make him a rogue or warrior.

He could maybe have a few scenes where he pulls back his hood and rags and shows that hideous face, especially during interrogations. I think that'd be better than Fenris' "fisting" people at getting them to talk. It'd have to be the old school hurloc face though with some facepaint. I hated the new school look of hurlocs.

For DA3 my perfect companion would be.. well, I can't actually decide.

I know I want to see a female Tal'vashoth who was formerly Saarebas, due to the lack of Ketojan in DA2.
With Aveline's type of personality-tough, caring, logical. That I think would be very interesting.

One other which would be perfect for me would be one of the darkspawn disciples.
He would be simple minded, like Sten. A touch too confused with foreign cultures-also like Sten.
Perhaps this darkspawn would be sadistic with some degree of honour. A personality akin to Fenris's?

Apart from those, a human sized rhyming varterral is the only other perfect companion I can think of.

A Saarebas. Considering the revelation that Ketojan was meant to be a companion. I hope we don't get deprived a second time. Though maybe we can have someone who doesn't follow the Qun and burns himself alive. It always vexed me how you endure all the inconveniences of telling Arvaarad to drop dead only for Ketojan to commit suicide anyway.

Besides him, I'd want a Fex companion. Who and what are they? If we ever get to see the light of Par Vollen, that is. From my understanding, they occupied the lands before the qunari and are rarely seen elsewhere.

I like any the really weird options. I agree with anybody posting something like a Saarebas or one of the Disciples. I like any character that brings something to the table that the PC can't. In DA:O I really liked Shale because she brought a style to the table that none of the other characters came close to. In DA 2 I really liked that EVERY character had a unique tree that the PC couldn't use, but I liked the ones that were especially unique, like Fenris and Anders.

If we do many more straight human characters, I would like to see unique mechanics, like an Ash Warrior/Mabari duo that share a single character slot and do everything together. A werewolf would also be cool.

That is an excellent idea. Especially if it were the one who spoke in Ostagar and was voiced by Greg Ellis. He was hot. In that he was voiced by Greg Ellis. <3

I want Isabela, Leliana, dwarf Shale, Varric, Fenris, Alistair, Wynne, if shes still alive, and possibly Morrigan with the friend/rival system, since at least that way you could party with her and not risk losing her. Cause you know, no matter what you do Morrigan disapproves.

i would love to see nathaniel howe, anders, fenris, and cullen as li in da3 for females and for males maybe morrigan, ariane, cassandra, and aveline as li. Non romancibles maybe varric oghren or sten male companions flemeth leliana and sigrun female companions, but i loved nearly all of the companions from dao and awakening as well as da2 :}

omg i cant believe i missed my favourite character out of my list but carver in da3 would be awesome especially if he's a li *that would make me very happy* :}

After having had a rethink... I would love for a Mage companion with a snarky attitude that holds a great deal of indifference with the Templar Mage stuff... A practical view like..
"Yeah, some mages are pratts and Templars are needed to guard them... Does that mean innocent people should be torn away from families and forced to live in a prison their entire life? No."

After all the crazy mages that kept turning up in DA2, i would love to have a Mage companion in the next game with a practical view on it all.... With a good sense of humour to amuse me and a good heart that screams at him/her to do the right thing even when he/she knows he/she should run for the hills and save his/her own skin.

Also i'd like him/her to be mentally sound for once, maybe with a few emotional breakdown moments in conversations about some shady/unhappy past or whatever, to add some depth beyond HUMOURLOLZ.

Beyond that..... Cullen.

Edit: While we know its possible for a spirit (like justice or faith) to turn to a demon, I wonder if a demon could be sanctified and be forced into a good spirit? That'd be neat.

And Jethann. He said himself DA2 that he has many, many talents. ^_~ I picture him being a rogue, with a pechant for poisons and a sexy, fluid, dancing type fighting style. Mmm.
