No. Leliana is wandering around Thedas with my Warden. DAO's ending said so. I refuse to accept this heresy.
I will say though that all of the cameo characters looked really, really bad in DA2.

I always thought it was odd that someone with such a controversial view of the Maker would become the right-hand of the Divine.
At least in my game, her fighting style was the same.A Scientist being crucified wrote...
Oh, my dear Leliana, I mourn for your soul...Your hear color is different, your fighting style is different, and...what in the name of the Maker you are wearing?

I don't like archers -- they seem exceedingly weak
I used a respec mod to turn her into a backstabbing Rogue.
She went from being the party's underachieving so-so to the highest damage party member. Provided that I constantly micromanaged her. As the AI doesn't move characters to behind enemies to take advantage of the backstab bonus.
Ehh. I've played through DAO multiple times, and being the big Leliana-fan that I am, she's been a permanent party member for each of those playthroughs.Tirigon wrote...

Same for me, only she did so as archer, and I never micromanaged anything except for scattershot and kiting when everyone focused her and my stuns / taunts were on CD..........

On all but my most recent playthrough, she was an
archer with a very thought out set of Tactics. The archer is good if
you do not wish to micro, but it really seems like the damage is
lacking. When I checked her statistics and compared it to other people
(like Morrigan, who's not even in the group as often as her), she seems
to only to a fraction of the total damage of everyone else.
When I played with her as a Dagger Rogue, though, she did more damage than any 2 other members combined.

If by "a ninja working directly for the Divine" you mean "somehow even more attractive" then yes.
