And...how come Leliana never had kids? If my memory serves me well, my warden and her had a lot of fun during those long nights...
(Notice that even if you didn't have the dark ritual with Morrigan before the final battle, she would still be pregnant if you slept with her at least once.)
Morrigan vs. Leliana
---Kids, no kids LOL
Herbal tea of the right sort can cause day after abortions, and your warden might have been infertile ~ save with a little magical help from Morrigan.

Well she obviously don't get pregnant before the ritual, so I'd assume the ritual have something to do with it.

If you don't do the Dark Ritual with her, a male warden who slept with her even once produces a normal child from their union. Which makes an interesting point regarding how well the ritual worked if she was already preggers to begin with.randName wrote...

Oh, didn't know.
But I'd assume she has an abortion before the ritual then, she being an apostate and being able to crush ogres shouldn't have a problem with killing a fetus.
A good punch could probably do it just as well, and a crushing prison aught to work wonders ~
Unless they are set to be essential as with most kids in games today.
But then Connor can be murdered, so probably not.

If she is pregnant, she'll say that she is taking care of the child safely in the Eluvian in Witch Hunt so no, she doesn't kill the normal baby and instead has it normally. THINK WITH YOUR DIPSTICK!!!!

I think you want to re:read these comments before you throw accusations around, they might end up hurting you more than anyone else.
OR
If Morrigan has sex with the Warden, and you refuse the Ritual, she has a child with you, according to Esbatty.
So he asked how can it be that if she is already pregnant before the Ritual, that she can become pregnant again, and I simply said that she might have had an abortion before the ritual, as to make room for yours, or theirs (if Alistair or Loghain gets the honours) god child.
Obviously she must be lucky with the timing, or be using magic to guarantee a pregnancy, and could use magic to see to it that any child/fetus she is already carring is disposed of.

Then she joins the seekers to find the warden and, if romanced, try to get bak together with him/her.

Espionage is commonplace, and expected, in Orlais, so why wouldn't the Divine have her own spies out and about in the world? And what better place to plant one of those spies than in the path of the coming Blight to associate herself with those on the front lines and gather information about the darkspawn threat, as well as the people leading the fight against it. After all, if those people are successful they're going to come out of the war as heroes and people with some clout. Best to keep close tabs on them early.
My guess is that the Divine recruited her as a personal spy/Seeker directly after the events of Leliana's Song. She was probably supposed to follow Logain and his army north to Denerim but then heard rumors of surviving Wardens and waited in Lothering to see what came from the south. As a bard, and potentially knowing all sorts of Chantry lore on top of that, she may well have known that a Warden was required to kill an archdemon, so if the blight really was upon them, finding a Warden would have to trump chasing after a usurper.
Just sayin'

It's rather difficult to get a woman pregnant when you're both wearing underwear during sex.A Scientist being crucified wrote...

I'm actually not so sure she wasn't a deep cover agent for the Divine from the first time we meet her in Origins. When she joins you, if I remember right, she's wearing the Amulet of the Seeker, isn't she? That is the order to which she seemingly belongs (or at least is closely associated with).

That's my theory too, after her cameo in DAII.

Left hand of the divine, as someone already pointed out here. And that's the difference. She's the covert will of Justina. If anything, all that means is that at its core, the Chantry is merely another political player in Thedas... not unlike the Coterie, or the Antivan Crows. It's just better with the PR.wulfsturm wrote...
I always thought it was odd that someone with such a controversial view of the Maker would become the right-hand of the Divine.

I did also notice the seeker pendant someone pointed out she had in Origins. I also wondered if that meant anything.

It means she was playing you all along.
So owned! It makes others like her less, but for me it makes me like her more.

I never trusted her to begin with. She always seemed too into the Chantry for me. XP
But it definitely makes her more interesting if she was always a spy.

Except we're working under the theory that she got to be seeker because The Divine, Dorothea, knew of her talents from the events in Leliana's song. The problem is that Dorothea wasn't yet promoted to The Divine, that happened after the events in DAO.

As long as she still buys Morrigan that red velvet dress she was talking about I'm fine. Otherwise I'm not busy enough with drooling and have time to be angry that she fooled me.

Dorothea might've had enough influence to get Leliana into the Seekers.
Later when she becomes the Divine Leliana also becomes her right hand.. and given what happened with Marjolaine, possibly more. Much MUCH more if you know what I mean.
Yes I'm implanting that image into your head, ha!

I regard "Sister Nightingale" as a blatent anti-mage retcon by the Devs, but you can justify the notion that Lelianna played you all along (which makes we wish I had left her in Lothering). While Dorothea wasn't (yet) a Divine during DAO, she was most certainly a very high ranking cleric (a Grand Cleric I think) in Orlais which means she'd have considerably political influence in the chantry. More than enough to get Lelianna into the Seekers and requisition her for some Fereldan duty when Empress Celene was informed of the Blight by her Warden Commander.

Why certainly! Every good leader of a church should ignore the rules on celibacy.
But if she really was a spy that would be a great "Was it all a lie?
