Can you imagine fighting a LITERALLY ENDLESS battle against these terrifying aliens?

Dawn of War 2 - Defending a base from an Ork assault then rushing to meet the UNLIMITED ENEMY FORCE OF TYRANNIDS (played that one mission for so dam long that my space marines went from level 5 to level 15 - yeah I played it THAT DAM LONG!), I must've killed over 60,000 Tyrannids in that one battle alone (Really wish there were survival missions an that the characters could reach level 100....*Drool....*)
Can you imagine fighting a LITERALLY ENDLESS battle against these terrifying aliens?
I'd say my most glorious gaming moments were watching the Might of Kalimdor march, and fighting in Angrathar the Wrathgate.

Didn't end well. First the dragon buffeted it's wings, and sent my party flying across the floor in all directions, then it breathed a ball of fire directly at poor Arie, after which where she was standing, there was literally a pile of ash.
Funny that the most memorable moment was a defeat, but It was the most complete and awesome defeat ever, in my gaming history.

The ending of Planescape: Torment.
The SHODAN reveal in System Shock 2. It's not too hard to realize there's something weird going on with the only human character that interacts with you, but the actual reveal is incredibly well-done and spooky.
Not a specific memory but just playing Darklands and being blown away by how much stuff there is in the game. Truly feels like an adventure.
Playing Rock'n'Roll Racing with some friends. Still remember starting it up and hearing the tunes they selected for the soundtrack... "Is this... is this... Black Sabbath?!! OMG!!" and so forth.

Also the ending of Bioshock 2. Just the sight of Delta still crawling to get to Eleanor even though he's in bad shape and Eleanor's ending monologue made a very beautiful ending.

The two contenders are Half Life 2, when exiting the station at the beginning and walking into the town square: the atmosphere was something I hadn't encountered in a game before what with the lighting and noises and so on. You could almost smell the spring breeze... and, er, probably less pleasant things.
The other was Oblivion: perhaps I'd had my expectations lowered by the seemingly interminable and tedious dungeon crawl, which made me wonder if I'd found myself playing "Doom with goblins". Finally I emerged into the bright morning light to see this unexpectedly amazing landscape and only gradually realised I could explore all of it. That was a truly amazing moment for me.

Transforming in Prikura Daisakusen.
Facing Yaga Shura in Throne of Bhaal as the fire giant and his *army* try to take down my epic level party to some of the most exciting combat music ever made. That battle personified the expansion's tone.
Finishing Contra III on hard mode for the first time.
Fighting the end boss of Panzer Dragoon: Zwei, and meeting it again in Panzer Dragoon Saga.
Another vote for the ending to Planescape: Torment.

The conversation immediately after the end of Act II in NWN2.
Waukeen's Promenade -BG2. Getting out of Irenicus's dungeon for the first time and - there's the cutscene - then suddenly all this light and space and sense of freedom. And Jaheira telling you what to do. Love Jaheira.
Zelda Oot - drawing the Master Sword from the stone for the first time.
BGToB/BG: You finish ToB. You beat Melissan and ascend to godhood. Then you go right back and start at the beginning, create a mage - and get killed by a level -1 nobody before you've even left Candlekeep.
