Oh man, there were so many... I think for me... was finishing Super Ghouls n' Ghosts for the first time. I still remember how awesome it was XD

The Japanese intro for Gran Turismo 2, with the song Moon over the castle. That moment captivated me forever.

The intro for the game Axelay, for the SNES. The moment the pilot closes the locket with his family photo inside is pretty strong.

And finally the whole Opera House sequence from Final Fantasy VI

- Splatterhouse: it was the first time I'd seen an ending that wasn't a happy one. The whole scene where Rick finds Jennifer and what winds up happening also counts as a pretty big moment.
- The Last Ninja: finally finding the way out of the Dungeons level. Scary music, ghosts, dismembered bits of people lying around and skeletons that hit you for 50% of your health were enough to put me on edge the whole time, being that I was only 9 or so ...
- Planescape: Torment: Virtually every situation that cropped up was memorable, but the one I remember most is the long conversation you have with Ravel in the Black-Barbed Maze.
- Halo: Reach: The Lone Wolf level was the perfect way to end that game and to sign off on the whole story arc in general.
- COD: Modern Warfare: The beginning and end parts of Crew Expendable and the beginning of Charlie Don't Surf.
- Tomb Raider: Getting all the way through the first few levels to the Tomb of Qualopec to find the first piece of the Scion felt much more rewarding than you would think, considering how much of the game is left to go.

BFBC2. I was playing and it was only me and one other guy. I messaged him saying he could destroy the Mcomm stations and that I wouldn't kill him. At around the third base he got four or five guys on his team and I was still alone. He killed me multiple times. I stayed in that game until the next map on isla inocentes. I was attacking and still alone. I hoped in the blackhawk flew over the base did a nose dived at the guy just missed him, hoped out, stabbed him, got his dog tags and left. Made my day.

That's in recent video gammin. That was earlier this week.

Does this have to be a "Computer Gaming" moment? Because there are far too many for me to choose.
My all-time #1 gaming moment was the first time I played D&D at the age of 14 (in 1979!!!) There were no Computer games then.
Being introduced to that Game created a life-long love of Games and taught me a lot about solving problems using the strengths you have & not focusing on your weaknesses and saying "There's no way for ME to do that"

Too many to mention, but some off the top of my head:

Baldur's Gate: Throne of Bhaal - Facing Yaga Shura. The fact that it's in the middle of a battle with his army adds to the intensity and excitement.

SW: Jedi Knight/Dark Forces II - The fight with Maw. Awesome boss battle with John Williams' score for the Empire Strikes Back playing in the background. This game made me feel like I was in that galaxy far far away... So let me say it again, f**k The Force Unleashed! Jedi Knight all the way!

Jade Empire - Killing the Water Dragon. Such an epic and intimate scene with great music playing in the background.

Mass Effect - From the wreckage. And here I thought the game pulled one on me by killing Shepard! Fortunately I was proven wrong. :D The music just adds to the impact.

Grand Theft Auto IV - "You're the stupid one Vladdy boy! No one f**ks with my family!"

Batman Arkham Asylum - Um... the whole game? Finally getting Batman right in a videogame is a top moment any day of the week.

Dragon Age Origins - The Ultimate Sacrifice ending. While I do like my Warden living beyond the first game, I won't deny how awesome this ending is. Such a sad and bittersweet finale to an epic journey for my created character. And seeing all those who fought with me pay their respects was a misty eyed moment.

Mass Effect 2 - No one left behind. Especially sweet since it was my first playthrough. I had no idea what the right choices in the freaking Suicide Mission, but boy was I happy I got it right the first time around. Awesome.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - The boss fight with Satan.  The build up to it is incredible, what with Robert Carlyle and Jason Isaacs spouting dialogue that would come off as laughable if not for their fine voice acting.

A few things spring to mind, namely when the cut scene in KOTOR revealed YOUR charcter to be Revan. I was open-mouthed! Also the first time I ever played Metal Gear Solid and I encountered Psycho Mantis - he could read your mind!!! Well, memory card - anything saved from Konami and he mentioned it. At the time, it was cool as!!!

The first and only time I beat Super Mario Bros. 3 It was just...glorious. Also I had a rush the first time I beat Mass Effect 2, not because of difficulty, more just immersion.

I have to say winning contests and frontier badges in pokemon emerald, as that requires true skill and understanding of the game, not just leveling grinding, as your levels are equalized/don't matter. Beating Dragon Age as a rogue, and watching the TIM *SPOILER* as I blew up the collector base.

During the Russo-Portuguese War of 2008* in Age of Empires 3 my base was besieged by the Czars advancing army hoping to once and for all secure the Caribbean (or somewhere around that area) for their autocratic rule. My base was promptly destroyed and with one Caravel ship I moved what was left of my forces from the ruins to a small tiny island.

From that island I swore in the name of King Henry I would not let our colony be captured and constructed a new town center and began work on my new town. I knew that the Russians would be searching so I set up a small outpost at the end of one of the larger isles where their forces concentrated on. I managed to build up that outpost and keep his forces busy while secretly I constructed a grand navy.

Once the grand navy was built I allowed him to destroy my outpost in a Pyrrhic Victory loosing the majority of his giant army. I then had the grand navy sweep around and fire on his base, destroy the remnants of his army and dropped off a rather large amount of cannons that razed his town to the ground and proceeded to slaughter every Russian colonist and soldier. He lost. I won. And thus the Caribbean became a territory of the Portuguese Empire

*This war is entirely fictional and happened in Age of Empires.
